Low air pressure warning buzzer drives me crazy.

I still don't suggest it. At night the idiot light would work but in the day it's amazing how the sun can wash out indicater lights at the right angle. For example, I can't count the times I have been the idiot driving with my blinker on for 20 miles because I forgot it was on. That light...

    Mike D's deuce recovery/modification thread

Had the truck been sitting a while? Sometimes you can have a stuck ring and after a good hard drive it will clear up the slobbering....mostly. Otherwise I wouldn't really be too worried about it. Not until it really starts venting some pressure.

Low air pressure warning buzzer drives me crazy.

You could. Or just crank your truck and walk off for a min while the tanks air up. I never advise disabling the warning buzzer. I have driven my truck with no brake boost and it is incredibly scary. The buzzer will give you some warning in the event of catastrophic air loss to pull over and...

M35A2 Front axle and brake service.

    Ah I see your point.

M35A2 Front axle and brake service.

Why do you think I used a pressure washer? Soak everything in water and dawn dish soap. Then pressure wash it clean. I woulda gone broke using just brake cleaner. Even one of those crappy electric pressure washers would do the job.

    Nylon Radiator Fan?

I wonder if it adds any drag with almost double the number of blades.

    Deuce Dilemma

Throw a few hundred pounds of something in the bed. Bobbers are so light on the rear end you end up relying on the front axle way too much.

That picture scares me knowing where that cherry picker came from!

    Deuce Halogen Headlight Upgrade

Are you talking about those ibis tek light bars? They have hid's in them. I thought I saw where someone said they installed a couple of them but no pictures.

Find some I beam chunks at a scrapyard and build a gantry. Just an idea.

M35A2 Front axle and brake service.

Degreaser and a pressure washer work wonders for cleaning axle and brake parts.

    Deuce Halogen Headlight Upgrade

I have the led headlights and I like them. But I got them for a deal. When they start screwing up....which I'm sure they will...I'm converting to hid's.

    M35A3 Air Issues

The last rebuild kit my buddy got had one. I think it depends on which kit you get.

    M35A3 Air Issues

What happened is your air dryer got saturated with water. That allowed water to enter the air tanks and begin corroding the inside of the tanks. Water, rust, and crud got hung up in the priority valve stopping it up. If you have an a3 it is important to maintain the air dryer. It will...

    LDT-465 rebuild

Hercules sells the upgraded rod bolts. But if you can find new rod assemblies for a reasonable price that wouldn't be a bad idea either.

    Nylon Radiator Fan?

What would the advantage of the nylon fan be versus a flex fan? I get that nylon is lighter than stock but I would think a flex fan would be the best overall approach to reduced weight and drag on the engine.

    LDT-465 rebuild

New rod bolts wouldn't hurt either.

    Strange metallic scraping sound

It almost sounds like the common drivetrain scream. Has it always done this or is this a new problem?

    M35A2 Starting Problem

Start by pulling the primary fuel filter under the alternater. Thats where most of the really nasty gunk in the fuel will collect. That will let you know what your up against.
