I'm not positive exactly which wires run through it but the turn signal switch on the steering column would be another area I would check. Make sure it is grounded well. It grounds through the clamp on the column. Also, I would take it apart and make sure all of the contacts are clean and...
Maybe at the firewall? Anywhere the harness passes through something. You could also hook one of the lights on another truck if you have that option. It would at least tell you if its the light itself or the truck.
I run jatonka's spin on filters and I couldn't be happier. Oil pressure in 2-3 seconds from cold start. Though my biggest concern was ease of maintenance and easy availability of the filters. When I change them there is little or no mess.
Now could a better design be built, I'm certain of...
Ok there is a short somewhere. Didn't you say you swapped out your 3 lever switch? Other than the 3 lever switch I can't think of anywhere else power could jump across circuits like that. I don't see it hurting to check the harness junction under the cab but I would think corrosion would stop...
Ok, maybe not every pump that uses an impeller. But its not uncommon for a dry pump with a floating impeller to make racket. When its dry the impeller will slap around in the housing. When there is fuel present in the housing it lubricates and stabilizes the impeller. I wouldn't be surprised...
Not nessissarily. In most places you are required to extract the chemical "drilling mud" from your cuttings. The cuttings themselves will dry out.....actually so will the chemical muds and bentonite mixes. Though, that depends on how dry the surrounding ground is and how long it has been...
I don't see why it would matter that you have incandescent up front and led in the rear. But, I guess crazier things have happened.
A thought that occurred to me is how well are the black out lights and normal lights seperated from each other in the housing. I have never handled a set of...
To clarify the aero turbine isn't a twist baffle like the twister mufflers and similar designs. It has an air foil shaped baffle. I don't know if that matters one way or another but the construction is quite different than most other mufflers.
The aero turbine 3535 is awesome. Fits neatly between the fender and the stack brace. Pretty impressive sound reduction for such a small full flow muffler.
Well start by taking one of the old housings and plugging it in. Then pull the lens off. See if the bo bulb lights up. It may be an incandescent bulb is either too dim to notice or has enough resistance it won't light up. If both led housings do the same thing then I'd agree that your 3 lever...
Ah, sorry, overlooked that part. Sounds like a short then. Possibly an internal short in the taillights wiring.
Jeepsinker, did the origional lights work correctly?
A buddy here locally has a deuce that a peterbuilt dealership attempted to rewire. Its going to be a literal nightmare to...
