Im sure the oil level is ok, And have you changed the oil since YOU have owned it. If not drain the oil and check for metal in it, is so drop the oil pan and look inside. May tell you what the problem is.

Can you use either to try help get a mep-002a started. Or is it a no-no, I know you can use it on a diesel like the m923a2 but its not advisable on a cucv. Not getting fuel from the IP.
Sorry, No once the cable was pulled it died, put the cable back on it didn't try to start until I used the starter switch and then would stick again until the cable was removed
