I think everyone in Wisconsin with anything older than 1968 needs to be paying close attention because they could be next. Keep up the fight and keep us posted. If this kind of thinking isn't nipped in the bud it could spread to other states.
It will take about 6 weeks for your first one and you won't hear another word out of GL until you get your paid invoice (as an email attachment) and notice you have 10 working days to pick it up.
The last package I got from GL had a letter explaining GL's role in this that wasn't in the package I got before. If possible I would try a different clerk or try to speak to a supervisor. GL is selling thousands of trucks like this, but it looks funny to a clerk that hasn't seen it before...
I don't think you need to be worried about draining one more than the other. Unless you have the high output system which has both alternators on the passenger side, one alternator charges one battery and the other alternator charges the other battery. The only advantage I see to using the...
You could run the inverter from either battery as long as you run the wires directly to the battery posts. However, if the inverter does not have an isolated ground, you would need to be sure to not touch anything metal in the truck if you use the back battery. Doing so would result in a dead...
I let a demilled M114 get away that the guy only wanted $2500 for. It came with extra motor and track to. It had the top cut off and was cut half way down in the rear hatch. That was a long time ago.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: m35a2 prices?
I was watching the late model ones in GA but was outside working on my pickup truck when they closed, what did they go for?
RE: Re: M1007 Suburban CUCV Conversion
Thats good advice until you are sitting there looking at the log in screen. But it is your site, so if you don't want people to know how I do it, I will have to learn to live with it.
CUCVs is too general when discussing value. M1009s are worth the least, then ambulances, then pickups, then the contract maintenance trucks. I have seen running 1009s go for less than a 1000 while a 1008 stripped to the rails will rarely go for less than that. I would say the 1009s are worth...
The whole reason the form 97 is not given to you when you pick up your truck is because so many of them do not have the original data plate on them. When GL lists them they go by the data plate. If info is missing from the data plate they will not go looking for it. Having MedLog search for...
How about something that has been sitting outside in a 55 gal drum for 20 plus years? I don't even know what is in the drums. They were sitting out back on the bare ground of an old building I bought 15 years ago. The tops are starting to rust through. The building was used as an auto repair...
RE: rust
Down here in the south, the only rust I have seen has been under the floor mats. There was a MWO to remove the mats, but a lot of trucks coming out still have them.
