I scanned mine and emailed it to the girls handling it (I had two sales close two days apart). On the next one I sent in my fax with a note that I had emailed a copy of my driver's license to Cynthia on such and such date and Tiffany on such and such date. I didn't have any problems.
After reading all of the posts here and on the G, it was my understanding that WisDOT is quoiting a law that specifically states that military vehicles are not road worthy. Did anyone ever find that law? I am sure a lot of us would like to see it.
My point was to be careful what you ask for, you might just get it. If you ask for restored HMV to be exempt, WisDOT might just decide that means factory class show queens are exempt and nothing else.
On another note, a funny image flashed before my eyes this morning. I am sure most of you...
I have been worried that if you stress the HMV too much you might get a law that could be read to mean that it has to be a perfectly restored vehicle with absolutely no modifications. Kind of like the antique vehicle insurance requirements.
Another thought I had was what about the rural fire...
RE: Re: RE: spellCheck problems
I don't get any messages, it just doesn't correct the spelling in the post. I have on idea why my laptop still works but my office computer doesn't.
I am having trouble with SpelChek on my office computer. It will run SpelChek when you click the button and highlight the misspellings but when you correct them it doesn't change in the post. On my laptop, it highlights the misspelled words as you type and you can right click and correct...
RE: 31
I was told the 6TL's only had 1 or 2 years warranty. My last truck came from GL with two 2005 6TL's in it. From what I read here, I thought they were already out of warranty.
I like the group 31 truck batteries I bought at NAPA the best of what I have put in mine. I tired mid priced wal mart batteries but they didn't fit well. They did crank the truck well though. I think these trucks came from GM with AC delco group 31 batteries. I have bought them from GL with...
RE: feul I.Pumps
It is the $100/hr labor to pull the old pump, then the shipping to get it rebuilt and shipped back then the labor to put it back on. Not to mention the cost for the rebuild is higher than the cost of a surplus pump. At least that my preconceived idea of how I think it is, I...
He isn't actually listing the truck 3 times, but is selling the bows in one and the canvas which he is saying is NOS in another. He is using the same pictures for all three and he does say the truck comes with bows and canvas. That is a problem.
This is the worst thing I see in the ad. Does that mean the fuel injector pump is bad? Isn't that a fairly expensive repair? He isn't really clear and has kind of a pissy tone. Not what the typical ebayer wants to hear.
Applying 14.7 volts across a good battery won't make it boil excessively either. Just how much boiling are we talking about? It is normal for a battery to bubble as it charges. If it is bubbling a lot at 14.7 volts it is either discharged excessively or has gone bad.
If you mean that your dash volt meter is staying in the red on the high side, then it could be that the clicking that you hear is the glow plug relay coming on and the load of the glow plugs is causing a voltage drop that is pulling the voltage down into the green and when they turn off it is...

Interesting reading on GM alternators:

I guess two people beat me to the punch while I was looking for a pic of the inside I have which I did not find. I may need to list them on ebay. People at Little Rock MVPA weren't interested in them.
It is a power distribution box for the radios. 28v in and 28v out. Has one circuit bracker for the inputpower. I have several. They don't seem to sell very well at $5 each used.
