    Need 12K yoke part number

I can't definitively figure out what part number I need for a 12K rear differential yoke. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

    Where to Sell Trucks

I would start with the forums since that is where people are that would be most interested. There is a classified section on pretty much all of them. Craigslist and epay are other options as well. And as mentioned GP but I suspect they will take the most amount of your money if ti sells...

Any protection if one manages to flip a non-armored humvee?

In 1984 I had a 1978 Datsun B210 that me and a friend were in. We were having a discussion about a particular corner in the road that was marked 15 mph. I said I could take that corner at 35 mph. The rest of the road was 35 mph. Although I made the corner we came out of it sideways and...

Any protection if one manages to flip a non-armored humvee?

No amount of anything is going to protect you in my opinion. Even with a roll cage, there is nothing of structure anywhere. It's all relatively thin aluminum that will tear away. Nothing secures well and would fly around and rip off, like doors, windshield, tops etc. A roll cage will stop...

    Damaged sponson

As noted above, I have never seen one or touched one. Since everything else is aluminum I assumed it too was aluminum. Steel is much easier to fix.

    Damaged sponson

Careful heating aluminum, it will quickly melt away. I would only use heat sparingly.

    My new 1992 M998 Avenger

I've already tried a 5 pound fine tuning tool and it didn't touch it.

    Damaged sponson

I've never fixed one or even seen one before. I'm assuming, based on the picture, it is bent up and should be more like a 90 bend. I've built many single use tools to fix stuff. I'd build a way to mount it then using schedule pipe that fit inside and outside I'd get some leverage. Using a...

    My new 1992 M998 Avenger

I bought a pair of these fold up steps. Wasn't sure what I was going to do with them. I didn't like the idea of drilling the bumper to mount them. While doing the other stuff today I took one out and started holding it up to see if I could use them. The bolt holes looked like they might line...

    My new 1992 M998 Avenger

I put a set of mud flaps on today. I've also been trying to figure where and how to mount a license plate and light. I bought a Signal-stat 9365 combination light and bracket from a humvee parts place and paid way too much for it. I thought it was for a Hummer but it's just a generic mount...

    My new 1992 M998 Avenger

I replaced the lights a couple of years ago. That that time I knew they needed more work. The tail light buckets and rear side marker light buckets are almost 30 years old and were cracked, worn and brittle. At the same time I also wanted to add reverse lights. The reflectors are also in bad...

    My new 1992 M998 Avenger

Previous owner put a class 3 hitch on it and since I will probably never tow anything with it I wanted to put the pintle hitch back on. I removed the class 3 and when I went to mount the pintle I found the safety chain plate was bent up. It looks like it did its job. I'll have to find a...

    My new 1992 M998 Avenger

Mounted the offset antenna base. I was missing a couple of parts and found them on epay. Touched up the paint and painted the bolts so it all blends in nicely.

    My new 1992 M998 Avenger

Today's project was a pretty simple one. I found the correct fire extinguisher mount for the seat upgrade I have. I've been looking for a fire extinguisher and checked the ones hanging up at my work. Turns out they were a direct fit. I looked them up online and bought one. It's a Amerex...

    Help translating this tag

My registration number is NG4AZV, is there a way to find out more about this? Thanks for your replies.

    Help translating this tag

Is that the same number as the number inside the footwell? I had asked about that number before and was told that NG was National Guard. Just curious if that would match the number on the tag?

    Help translating this tag

With what little I know I'll add that I think the vehicle number is the NG2YK7 and If I am not mistaken the NG stands for National Guard. Should be painted on the inside front foot panel area.

    My new 1992 M998 Avenger

I wanted to install a Vic-3 Lite and didn't want to go with high mount radio tray. So I took my tray and decided to remove the bottom and use it for the mount. I cut the mounts off at the bend and turned it around and placed it upright. Drilled a couple of new mounting holes and bolted it...

    My new 1992 M998 Avenger

During the disassembly the rubber air duct fell out. After investigating it is obviously new and was just kind of stuffed up in cavity. Also a metal rod about 8" long fell out with it. It took me a few minutes but I figured out it was part of the rubber air duct. It's missing the 16 plastic...
