I got a spin-on oil filter adapter kit for my truck and it is a lot less messy to deal with when changing out. I highly recommend one.
Did you use the Zerex HD concentrate or the pre-charged? I used the concentrate and diluted 50/50 with distilled water. Its good stuff.
G177 radials, duel tanks, A/C...I agree with everybody...sweet truck[thumbzup] A real cream puff:driver: Where'd get you get a hold of that? You got a new Deuce dealership in you neighborhood:wink:?
Saturday I installed a reversing light and back up alarm. See the whole story below...

Sunday I installed three B/N seat belts, one driver and two companion, and associated hardware to specification.
nf6x...since my truck is a tractor I just plumbed a 1/2" hard line from the old trailer emergency air valve. The hard line connects with a flexible line to the original valve and runs along the bed front bulkhead. It terminates with a 1/2" quick disconnect fitting at the driver's side of the...
When I park my truck at the house and one of those "steroid" induced 4X4 pick-ups goes by, I can always count on a throttle down and some serious rubber-necking from the envious driver who has just realized my truck is just WAY cooler than his. I really do get a kick out of that.
Here's where I got mine. Search RPX10-R; that is similar towhat I have been using except I attached a heavy chain to the eyelets for locking to the truck frame.

I installed a reversing light and back up alarm yesterday. I posted a project "how-to" write-up with photos. Check it out below...

Today I installed all new seat belts on the driver and companion...
Testing and finished
With everything hooked up and secured, it came time to test under working conditions. I started the truck and pumped up a full supply of air, ensured the three-lever switch was set to at least “STOP LIGHT” and shifted into reverse. I could hear the alarm engage. I shut...
Wiring and plumbing
The light and alarm was connected together using a rubber shell “Y” adapter. I took a 20’ length of Prestolite 16AWG wire and crimped on a female Packard/rubber shell connector. This wire lead was connected to single side of the “Y” adapter. I carefully fished the wire...
Mounting the Light and Alarm
The reverse light was mounted using two #10 ¾” machine screws with nuts and lock washers. You can see in the picture that the bulb is facing down. I then assembled the whole light, including lens, bezel and gasket, using the supplied machine screws.
I mounted...
Prep work
I crimped female Packard/rubber shell connectors to the positive lead and crimped a large ring connector to ground on the back-up alarm. I changed the male Packard/rubber shell connector on the reverse light to female as I planned to use a Rubber Shell "Y" Connector in order to...
This modification should cover most M809-series trucks.
My state does not require these appliances on my truck, but always wanting to keep safety paramount, I thought a reversing light and alarm would be a good idea to install. Last October I rebuilt my transfer case declutch cylinder...
Most of our trucks take up the same footprint and weigh just as much as most commercial trucks. My 818 is 23 ft. long and weighs in at a scant 19500lbs. Joe Motorist is used to driving around the civilian trucks and doesn't think twice about them. I mean, it's just rubber and steel. Right? No...
I like the duals for looks and redundancy. However, I wasn't enamored with NDT's. So, last August I switch over to G177's...10 on the ground and one on deck...

My wife rarely, if ever, busts my chops about my hobbies. But, when she does I pretty much toss out the same response..."How 'bout I go to the nudie bar, watch football all day and drink beer..." Usually shuts that conversation down.
I have a tendency to stand back and stare while visually redesigning and re-engineering everything I do. Not only with my 5-Ton, but with my model railroading also. My wife thinks I am just wasting time.
I took a picture of my truck from my living room window so I can stare at the...
The neighbors don't sweat me at all. I store the truck off site, I just don't have the real estate to keep it home all the time. So, it's kind of a novelty when I have it home.
The hole saw sure made a heck of a racket even with the cutting wax I put on the blade.
