M103 A3 Lunette size with cucv pintle

The cucv pintle will work fine on both trailers.

Anyone near Conyers, GA that can look at a Jeep trailer

I said that earlier in the thread and that's accurate. People do it all the time, it's not ideal but it can be done. The last one I did a couple months ago rolled right up some ramps into the back of a ford pickup, can't remember what year. It may take some minor adjustments to do it on a few...

Re-wiring the whole truck: enough is enough

Your starter relay under the dash is probably stuck. Easy fix.

Anyone know what these came off of?

Going by the brackets I'd say those tool racks came off 2.5 ton trucks. They will fit a bunch of other MVs as well.

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

Yesterday and today we had the pipeline truck over at another SS member's place to move some dump bodies around. The weather has been pretty nice but some heat would be nice for defrost in the morning. Maybe next year we'll get around to installing that stuff. The orange body went from the...

Looking for civillian rims for M416 trailer

I've never noticed one that bolted up and was just right. Older CJ jeep wheels will bolt on but they will stick out past the fenders a little bit, the center is slightly larger on them as well.

Anyone near Conyers, GA that can look at a Jeep trailer

Hopefully you can find someone to help you out. While I haven't seen pics of the trailer I've always had good luck with the m416s. I think 1 out of close to 20 I've messed with had bearing problems and that could have been easily fixed by adjusting the bearing nuts (someone cranked them down...

Non swelling glow plugs no longer available

60Gs are 12v as well. Good for a CUCV not so good for a HMMWV.

    Direction of M35 winch PTO?

The front output of the transmission PTO goes in both directions, you shift it forward or reverse to winch in or out. If I were you I'd get the rear accessory drive for the PTO so you can leave the winch stuff stock and run the pump off the rear output. That's how the factory deuce dump trucks...

Yep that's the weight rating for an m35a2.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

The joke is that it doesn't say .075 it says 0.75, or 3/4". 0.075 would put it at the factory bore for a 6.5 engine. Yes it is a Tooele "Pride and quality" rebuild. That's one reason I won't put a lot of money into the engine itself, I had another m1028 with one, it didn't last too long and...

I guess we'll see. That's why I said I hope the rest is in better shape.

    Gas in Oil ?

When was the last time you changed the oil? If you check the oil regularly and nothing is abnormal about the level in the pan then you probably don't have any major engine issues at this point. If it was way overfull with gas I'd be worried. If you keep the oil level correct and it hasn't...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

The other day I changed the plow truck over to a spin on fuel filter setup and installed new rubber fuel lines to the filter as well. It had recently started leaking fuel out the inspection cover underneath and I was hoping it was a bad rubber hose feeding the injection pump, but a closer look...

    Gas in Oil ?

The fuel pump is a common cause of gas in the oil. Don't run the truck if that's the case. Does the dipstick read over full?

    Trailer to haul a M1008

I'm guessing those are covers to bolt on in place of the rear axle shafts.

Whats the difference, BMY vs AM General, if any ?

It would be a sweet bed if it was narrowed up to legal width. It's a pretty cool setup with the winches and the clamps that hold each stake rack. It'd be a lot of work though, it's built way heavy.

Whats the difference, BMY vs AM General, if any ?

The information from that source is incorrect, the bridge truck stake bed is 9ft 7in wide.

    M4 Mount

You can get the kind that grabs the barrel instead.

ok truck idles, then drives, then acts like it is out of fuel and dies

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? What kind of shape are the rubber fuel lines in? Has the truck been sitting a long time?
