I said that earlier in the thread and that's accurate. People do it all the time, it's not ideal but it can be done. The last one I did a couple months ago rolled right up some ramps into the back of a ford pickup, can't remember what year. It may take some minor adjustments to do it on a few...
Yesterday and today we had the pipeline truck over at another SS member's place to move some dump bodies around. The weather has been pretty nice but some heat would be nice for defrost in the morning. Maybe next year we'll get around to installing that stuff.
The orange body went from the...
I've never noticed one that bolted up and was just right. Older CJ jeep wheels will bolt on but they will stick out past the fenders a little bit, the center is slightly larger on them as well.
Hopefully you can find someone to help you out. While I haven't seen pics of the trailer I've always had good luck with the m416s. I think 1 out of close to 20 I've messed with had bearing problems and that could have been easily fixed by adjusting the bearing nuts (someone cranked them down...
The front output of the transmission PTO goes in both directions, you shift it forward or reverse to winch in or out. If I were you I'd get the rear accessory drive for the PTO so you can leave the winch stuff stock and run the pump off the rear output. That's how the factory deuce dump trucks...
The joke is that it doesn't say .075 it says 0.75, or 3/4". 0.075 would put it at the factory bore for a 6.5 engine.
Yes it is a Tooele "Pride and quality" rebuild. That's one reason I won't put a lot of money into the engine itself, I had another m1028 with one, it didn't last too long and...
When was the last time you changed the oil? If you check the oil regularly and nothing is abnormal about the level in the pan then you probably don't have any major engine issues at this point.
If it was way overfull with gas I'd be worried. If you keep the oil level correct and it hasn't...
The other day I changed the plow truck over to a spin on fuel filter setup and installed new rubber fuel lines to the filter as well.
It had recently started leaking fuel out the inspection cover underneath and I was hoping it was a bad rubber hose feeding the injection pump, but a closer look...
It would be a sweet bed if it was narrowed up to legal width. It's a pretty cool setup with the winches and the clamps that hold each stake rack. It'd be a lot of work though, it's built way heavy.
