    That is exactly what I did. You are correct about the lighting on the CUCVs, no mods other than the wiring adapter are needed to tow a 12v trailer.

    Don't take the chance that the batteries in the truck are good. Even if it will slave start you still might need to swap batteries.

    Here's a comparison pic. The black one is the standard passenger side table, the green one is the driver's side.

    Here's a picture of the dataplate on a CUCV blazer that sold earlier this year from Aberdeen Proving Ground. It is hard to read, but the date of manufacture is 01/83. The tenth digit is an "E".
