I have not been able to find the brackets anywhere. I'm just going to fab something out of angle iron. Hopefully the splash plate will cover it up so no one will be able to tell it's not original.
That might work. I just know I was searching for the posts about different bolt sizes and had yours and Scottmandu's and just thought instead of having, I think about 10, different threads with varying information that it'd be a lot easier if it was all in 1. I still don't know what the size...
Do you have the size and lengths of the new bolts? I'm trying to gather all the info on new bolt sizes from you and OverDrive so I can have everything in one spot for the install of mine. I'm guessing others would appreciate the info as well.
Well the wife picked out a name for the truck. With the cab tilted it looks an awful lot like a turtle so it has now been dubbed Donatello (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Guess I need to find some purple trim for it now.
One last picture shows the Soldier's Angels flag that I had displayed...
I've got plenty. Not my 1st rodeo. Actually if I listed all the MVs I've owned just in the last 10 years I'd probably bleed over onto another page. That's one of the reasons Warthog suggested contacting him when "the never going to sell" vehicle goes up for sale.
Well since OverDrive won't make the boxes to sell I'm going to have to make my own. Just ordered the items below (3 of the single plugs and 2 boxes plus the plug/USB port). I'm going to make the one with the USB port plus an additional single plug for the cab and then 2 plugs for the bed. I...
Not to hijack the thread but looking at their (Bliss) website and comparing the Steyr to the LMTV it's amazing how close they are, cab obviously but even the bumpers and cable steps. I guess I never realized how much was lifted. Did they import the cabs or just steal the design?
Talked to someone that said they just paid $16k for a 6.2 GP truck. Thats what I'm basing my opinion on. Having driven them in the Army I wouldn't give $1k for an offroad only and don't follow GP sales of them.
You have people paying $16k plus for offroad only vehicles and this only worth $10k or a little more? If it's not worth $15-$18k I'd just keep it. Too many, I won't use a descriptive here, people equate whats being sold through GP as the same as the Marine Corp release vehicles.
Back to our regularly scheduled program.
While it's not a major issue, not having the cover on the hydraulic controls was bugging me. I didn't think I'd be able to find the correct hinge and had been looking around for something that would work but wasn't original when, BOOM, I luck into an OE...
I think the term is "clumsy as an ox." I'm waiting for the day I do a header out of the bed or getting down from the cab. I'm just hoping it's turf and not concrete I land on.
