Coleman's
Hey Bud!
Could you pick me up a pack of the fiberglass camo net support poles they sell? They come in a canvas bag with 12 sections (I believe) and a couple of spreaders. Catalog price is $19.95.
I can come pick them up from you on Saturday, if that's convenient.
Thanks!
Antique plates
I wonder if Antique Vehicle plates are supposed to be illuminated? I opted for the AV instead of a standard truck. It seemed like a good idea at the time!
CARNAC:
I need manufacturer (Studebacker, maybe??) and year, among all the other good stuff you can provide on this Duece. Thanks!

Someone picked one up from Richmond a couple of months back. I was bidding on it, but it went for more than I wanted to pay. I have no idea who got, I'm afraid. Not much help, I guess. :red:
That's a great video!! Maybe we should help him dub in the right sound effects for the engine!
I bet if put some more weight in the truck it wouldn't spin the wheels so much.
Anyone know where the truck model can be located? I've got an RC transceiver set that needs a job!
I used to live in Tucson, no the south side of town. I used to drive my Davis-Monthan AFB all the time and drool over all the aircraft parked in the boneyard there. And there were bunches of scrap dealers all around the place, too. I always dreamed of getting a cockpit to "play" with... I can...
Hey! I like the idea of getting rid of the passenger seat and putting another "driver's" seat there instead! That would also make room for the cooler, as well as the radio equipment!
You will find that Ham Radio (aka Amateur Radio) is an extremely fascinating and diverse "hobby." Depending on your interests, talents, time and pocketbook it can be SO much more than a hobby! I've been licensed since 1976 8s, and have dabbled in all sorts of areas of the hobby.
Joe, I'm in...
Thanks for the details on TXSG. From what I've seen, TX seems to have their act together.
VA is similar. We're part of the state military, reporting through the Adjutant General to the Gov.
One of these days I'll have my M109 set up for commo. That's the main plan, anyway. As a Ham operator...
I plan on using mine for some activities, but I don't plan on getting a lot of reimburesment for it! But then, I've been donating a lot MORE than time, lately!!
BTW, I'm in the Black Horse Brigade, Adam. Which one are you?
I'm going to do something completely unorthodox...
I'm going to mount a pipe in the gun ring mount on the side of the cab, and put my vhf antenna on that. I'd actually like to get some sort of telescoping mast to put there so that when I'm set up in CP mode I can just run the antenna up.
What size is the tube coming out of the valve cover on an LDT 456-1D (I think) motor? It's the crankcase breather hose, I believe. I just need to add a rubber extension to the end of mine to bring it down close to the bottom of the engine compartment.
The P/N is 10951257, NSN 2815-00-103-5770...
Yup, I know they're pretty heavy!! What, 200 lbs or so? The price for shipping doesn't surprise me, actually. Just hard to swallow!
I'll post something on the transport forum. I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do. Perhaps I'll sell one of them. I've had some interest in one of them...
Shipping, "Yikes" is right!
I checked the guy on eBay. Besides what I think is a high price, he wants $150 for shipping! Wow!
Surely I could find something out in New Mexico, where I'll be collecting the trucks.
Or maybe I could just use a bunch o' bungie cords!!
