As ah newbie to diesel engines it seems to me in comparison to say, a Cummins. The 6.2 doesn't have the same longevity, power, or durability. That being said ,so it only lasts as long as a gasser 200,000 miles rather then 400,000. Not really too bad if you look at it that way I guess.

I like it . Do you think you need a fuel heater? I ended up getting the high dollar FM100 unit because you can add options to it, such as a fuel heater. I probably would never need it ,but if I ever sell the truck it would be a benefit I guess.... here's ah pic of mine

You said you had water in the fuel. Did you drain that fuel out? It could be just bad diesel.

Yeah I already did this mod out of necessity. My inner fender was rotted out under the front battery ,and I knew I'd be adding ah turbo so I went ahead and got it done.

I finally found the parts list on banks site. The kit you used was for a 4wd suburban or 2500 series truck. How did the exhaust fit? Was there any tweaking involved ? Where does the exhaust exit?

I'll have to take your word that it's 30mm, but a 6 point socket, or closed end wrench is you best bet. You really don't want to do the channel locks thing if you can help it, because as you said it's ah pretty thin head.

Oh here we go:D. Aluminum radiators need to only be 2 rows. The way aluminum dissipates heat is different then brass/copper, if it was more then 2 rows it would actually over heat it's self buy heating up the back rows of tubes . The way they make them now is 2 larger tubes rather then 4 smaller...
