I went ahead and splurged on the JD Corn Head grease. The case came today and I should have enough to do both steering boxes as well as the winch. If it goes good and there's enough left over I might even convert the deuce winch to it as well. Now the big hold up is all the snow in the...
So he welcomed himself? Or just a coincidence that poster #1 and #2 were banned for multiple accounts? I'm starting to feel a little schizo myself now.
This was the last M1010 at one of the Mabry events (mine) in 2010. This was before I repainted everything. The 2nd pic is after I redid the crosses. I wanted to go back to 3 color camo but there was so much tan overspray on all the rubber parts I knew it would never look right so just redid...
David has just about everything and will also stamp them for you with your VIN and other information. You can always check out his site and see what he has listed just give him a bit to heal up before contacting him.
Will you be coming to the Camp Mabry event in April? Or maybe the Temple Air Show the 1st weekend in May? Lots of cool events in and around Austin to take part in.
Just a heads up that the owner of MVdataplates.com is laid up with some broken bones so isn't getting around at the moment. I've had good luck with his stuff and was extremely happy with the quality but you may be a couple of months out getting anything.
Just as long as it's not the "blue box of death" on the driver's side inner fender then they probably did get the issue resolved. You'll know for sure if you're idling for any length of time and start smelling the battery boiling over. That would be the DUVAC overcharging one of the batteries...
One of the 1st mechanical (electrical) issues you might want to do is rip out the DUVAC. I farted around with mine for months trying to get it to work and had the same success as the military did (which was none) and eventually replaced it with a battery equalizer. There are several threads on...
That seems a little excessive. I've only had 1 truck shipped but that was an M1010 from ND to TX and it was $1200 and it weighed a lot more than a M1028 does.
What's a ballpark price per tube? One place I found was $3.50 per 14oz but wasn't sure if that was better/worse than going to the dealer. Still going to have shipping added to it ($9/10 pack) so if it'd be cheaper at JD dealer will try that instead.
Depends on when I can get it in to the blaster. I need to get it off before then but it'll probably be after the next meet so that shouldn't be a problem.
One thing that would help people in the future searching for information about this would be to put something in the title about the equipment. "How to??" doesn't tell anyone what the thread is about so good chance many people (including some that might be able to help you) will just skip over it.
