    Working on the MKT

Mike, I did a quick search of the TM and the only place I can find anything on the Fuel Sensor is in the error code section. I can find just about every other sensor on it but not specifically the "fuel sensor." I'm guessing it's incorporated in the fuel block but can't find a detailed break...

    Working on the MKT

Finally got back to working on the new MKT today. I picked up my 4 new (to me) MBUs yesterday and wanted to get them in and fired up. First I had to run the cabling as they pulled it when they took the MBUs out to begin with. They left the most important cable, which is the cross over, but...

Difference Between 800 and 900 series Cabs

Thanks Rory. The situation arose because a gentlemen purchased one of my cab reinforcement panels and then waited until after he paid for it to say it was for a 923. I wanted to verify there was a difference before shipping him something that wouldn't work. I did refund his money this morning...

Difference Between 800 and 900 series Cabs

Sorry for using the short vernacular that most people on the forum use. Thanks to everyone that replied.

Difference Between 800 and 900 series Cabs

Not sure if this is in the FAQ section as I can't seem to pull it up, but was wondering if the 800 and 900 series cabs were generally the same. Meaning specifically if the back of the cab is the same dimensions and would the cab reinforcement panels for the deuce and 800 trucks work on a 900.

How are you Texas members getting licensed to drive 5 tons?

I'm in the same boat as Andy as I'm looking at getting a 5 ton. My concern with the CDL would be how it affected rates from my insurance both for that vehicle and for my regular daily driver. Also do you have to have physicals for a CDL? Not sure with the MS that I could pass anything other...

San Antonio, TX Monthly MV get together!!

Well I saw this about 12 hours too late. Hope you had a decent turn out. Not on the site that often any more but I'll try to keep an eye out for it next month.

    New V-100

Congrats on the new trailer. At 10mpg the M931 beat my F250 on mileage for the MKT recovery as I only got 7.5mpg towing that brick wall home.

    Working on the MKT

Think I've got everything but I'm trying to get a picture of how the flex hose is routed and does the vent fan plug into one end of the lights for it's power? I know I'll never have the flex hose plugged into the floor vent here in Texas as the earliest event I usually do is in April and it's...

Recent MKT Prices - Summer 2013

I'll add mine to the list - MKT-99 8/2010 Rebuild (not as nice as Stampy's but I've got the griddle and invertor :)) $915 before sale fee/tax. Missing the MBUs and one of the deck braces but everything else there and in outstanding condition. With tax/fees, MBUs and cost of recovery I'll...

    Working on the MKT

Finally got the walkway covers set up today. Four of the canopy poles are broken where the handrails go but we should be able to position them in the front and rear center deck since no rails go there and be okay. I'm still trying to figure out how the lights and vent fan go so need to dig...

No we just had it there for a static display.

    Working on the MKT

Looked to me like a "field expedient" repair due to a broken latch (although both are the same). This is a MKT-99 so I would think it should have the newest gadgets and that looks pretty old school in comparison. - Ok just reviewed the Mar 2002 -13 and it says the MKT 85, 90, 95, and 99 are...

    Working on the MKT

Got the new MKT home last night. What a trip. We averaged 16mpg on the way over and 7.5mpg on the way back. We took 3 Come-alongs and a 12v winch to load it with as Hooks says they have no assistance. Fortunately that's not entirely correct as we were able to talk the guy checking us through...

    Working on the MKT

Thanks! Unfortunately it was the only one that didn't have the burners with it (the reason it went cheaper). I have a friend that had a few excess MBUs in his shop but I haven't been able to reach him to see if they're still there. I have 3 left over from my last MKT so at least I can get the...

    Working on the MKT

Here we go again. Stuck my foot back in it and bought a MKT-99 out of Hooks, TX today. Overhauled at Letter-Kenney in 2010. Unfortunately with GLs new format I can't tell if an EUC is required and I'm leaving for Idaho for a week on Sunday. Nothing like a mad dash to pick it up when I get...

    New V-100

The Ferret owner said the camo pattern is actually an Israeli pattern. We were discussing it due to the IDF painted M37 I had at the event.

Pinky, my M1009, is down for the count

He didn't really run a red light he just tried to turn from a straight only lane across 2 turn only lanes:-P. He had a green light just didn't go the direction he was supposed to go.

Pinky, my M1009, is down for the count

I'm familiar with how auto ins works. I was a manager of a claims office for 10 years. His vehicle, a 1985 CUCV 1009 Blazer, can be purchased on the open RETAIL market for less than what it would take to repair his. No one said he should take less than what it's RETAIL value is but that...

Pinky, my M1009, is down for the count

The way the frame is pushed over it'd cost much more than the value to try and save it. Then you've got all the front sheet metal, lt door shell is probably toast given the bulge, lt quarter needs work, then paint. The other guy's insurance is only going to pay the lesser of repair or total...
