    Came with the truck...

I have a MT-6352 base mount, an LS-671 loudspeaker controller and an LS-454 loudspeaker that came with the truck. I have no use for this stuff and know nothing about its working condition, but I thought I would check and see if it's worth anything. If not, I'll just toss it but I thought I...

    Oops, I did it again

Discovered another little bugaboo...can't shift the transfer case to LOW. It feels like the like the linkage is binding or something. If I press down real hard I can feel the gears start to catch, but I don't want to force it. Is there some common issue with these, like an adjustment? I'll...

    Oops, I did it again

Wow, I'm an idiot. Got my remote brake reservoir set up installed today and made an extra cap with an air fitting to experiment with pressure bleeding the brakes. Put the cap on and gave it about 15 psi. Everything looked good, went to look for my bleeder hose and I hear behind me...

    Oops, I did it again

Well crap, parking brake cable is screwed. Frozen, rusted, bent, frayed, rotten, etc. Found one at Erik's Military Supplies for $55. That was the cheapest I could find. Probably worth it for the piece of mind. Not having a functioning parking brake is not really an option on these trucks...

    Oops, I did it again

Got most of my air problem fixed. I noticed the air governor popping off at about 90 psi. Was able to adjust it up to 120, hope I didn't go over that since the gauge stops there. I'm wondering if it needed readjusting after the air assist steering was installed? Still have a small leak...

    Flat Tire on Deuce

Haha....great timing on this thread. I just dropped one on my leg last night, driving my knee into the concrete. Ouch. Crazy thing was, I made sure the pawl was locked and then spun the tire to free it from the bracket with the intention of then slowly letting it down. I guess when I spun...

    Oops, I did it again

Figured out what the maps were...Ft. Irwin in California. Looks like two different sections. There some notations on the maps using baseball team names (Dogers, Angels, etc.). Looks like they were doing some sort of military exercises or war games or something. Pretty neat. Also, there were...

    Oops, I did it again

Got the tire taken care of today in the 100 degree heat. Good lord, I must've lost 10 pounds in sweat. Moved the right front in place of the flat one. Put the new spare on the right front. Swapped the left front with one from the left rear that had better tread. So, now I have good steer...

    Oops, I did it again

Oh, almost forgot. Air-O-Matic is freaking FANTASTIC! So much easier maneuvering at low speeds and in tight quarters.

    Oops, I did it again

Yeah, that's weird. Looks like they replaced a couple, maybe during the overhaul in '84. They left the one with the serial number stamped on it, of course.

    Oops, I did it again

Well, made it home. Ran great, turns out it's the C-whistler turbo. Found a couple small bugaboos: 1) On one of the startup attempts the starter spun a couple times and didn't sound like it engaged. Then it fired right up, no problem. I'm thinking missing flywheel tooth (bad) or maybe it...

    Oops, I did it again

I'm sure you're right, I was just curious about identification. Thanks for the info. There's a lot of wiring and some sort of controller bolted to the floor of the cab. Looks like something to do with the convoy lights and squawk boxes. I'll get a pic of that, too. I'd be interested to know...

    Oops, I did it again

What was the tipoff? I haven't even looked under there, yet. Is it just because it's not a USAF deuce? I was hoping that maybe since it had the Air-O-Matic that it somehow got the newer brakes, too.

    Oops, I did it again

Oh...appears to be missing the headache rack. Anyone got one near KC, MO?

    Oops, I did it again

Well, after a long layoff to do some home improvement projects, raise the kids a little older, etc, etc, I am now off to pick up deuce #2 this afternoon. '70 (I think) M35A2, W/W, soft-top, fiberglass troop seats, Air-O-Matic power steering, heater, rifle mounts, convoy light mount, in-cab...

CDL required in Missouri for Deuce?

    No, it is not required.

    Deuce modern equivalent?

Aha!! Just needs a deuce bed: international 4x4 cab &chassis-$10800

    Fiberglass Hard Top

If it's the same guy I'm thinking of, I bought one from him last year. Very good, clean take off top. They even delivered it all the way up to KC 'cause they were headed this way. Nice guys.

Extra gauge on the bottom row

Ha ha...let me rephrase...I didn't "see" a wagon in that picture. I saw the picture just fine :)
