I am an Illinois resident. I was charged sales tax by GL on sales of vehicles in WI and IN.
In Illinois, sales tax on vehicles is handled by the DMV and usually is $25 for older vehicles.
My question is, as an out of state resident, can I somehow recover those sales tax monies?
Thanks
I was reading about M927 truck that I bought. Its turning radius is listed as 46 ft in the transportation manual.
Then I read Wikipedia about the term "turning radius" and it says that the term actually means "turning diameter".
So, my question is , is 46 ft really the turning RADIUS (diameter...
I do not get it myself. I buy and sell stuff, and I have a nice GMC topkick truck that I bought for $120 (and then spent $1000 on tires and minor repairs). WhenI look at M929 dumps , they do not look all that useful to me. Not useful enough to justify the high price.
I won an M931A2 tractor in Spart and M927 extended wheelbase 5 ton truck in Indianapolis.
I have some questions.
1. Is 10 days a hard limit, what happens on the 11th day?
2. Indianapolis and Sparta say "by appointment", but they do not list a number to make an appointment, how do I reach them...
This is exactly what I want to do with the M931A2 that I bought in Sparta last week, use it to tow a low boy trailer. What I hope is that 6x6 drive can help me get this low boy over some dock curbs, humps and curves.
So, guys, being a soon-to-be owner of a M931A2 truck, I just have a very simple question: how difficult is it to disable CTIS and switch to regular manual airing of tires, if necessary? thanks
Bruce, I thought that I could come on any weekday within 10 days of my paid invoice? Am I mistaken?
Do I just show up, or do I need to schedule P/U?
Again, the semi tractor is in Sparta, and the M927 truck is in Indianapolis.
thanks
P.S. due to DOT's "Roadcheck 2013", we will be staying out...
I plan on using it to move forklifts and surplus equipment that I buy and sell, and sometimes scrap metal. I would say, I expect 50-100 miles of city driving per week.
As to off road driving, once a month we may get some work to be done off road, but not in conditions resembling "steel soldiers...
OK, it looks like you can carry 10 short tons, I will be happy with that. I will definitely try to be following at a safe distance, something that I try to always do.
When I go 60 on a 55 highway, everyone zips by me.
I looked up the turning radius in the operator's TM, it is the same as M923. 46 feet.
My forklifts are all under 8 feet tall, so if the bed is under 5.5 feet, I will be under the 13' 6" limit.
Anyway, how much weight can I realistically...
I have, in the last few years, been a very conservative and safe driver, driving 60 MPH when the speed limit is 55 MPH, my brakes on my pickup last for 80k miles etc.
I am contemplating commercial use of a M927 truck to move various equipment, forklifts etc with the M927 that I bought (this...
Dear denizens, how do you use 12v _semi_ trailers, with M931A2 _semi_ tractors that are 24v based?
I need to run the lights only. Trailers are all airbrake based regular semi trailers.
I am sure that there is some robust solution.
