RE: M240 on the HMMWV
Yeah, well its more of a replica rifle than anything else. I got the heat shield and RIS already at the same store. BTW its a triggerhappy, made in Korea. An M240 dummy gun is about 5K, so its easy to make the choice, and M240 is definitely more common.
I hope you really want to to that, because although it really looks cool, and I am envious of your project, if you are doing this because you are worried about needing a CDl you are wasting your time.
If you really think you are going to get cited for driving an M35 out of class, then I can not...
M240 on the HMMWV
I am in Hong Kong at the moment, just went to the airsoft street and combed the shops looking for what I wanted. Found a Korean made excellent replica and working airsoft M240 (uses M4 version 2 gearbox) .
At the moment it looks like a Mag58, because although it has the M240...
slated shield
I will definitely take the slanted shield. You must be in the LA area, because I was really hoping I could go pick one up as the shipping will be a lot. Send me a PM, and if its not too late, maybe we can make a deal. I am ready now.

I have been unable to find a HMMWV turret shield. Once saw one on ebay go for $900, and it will likely cost that much to ship. Saw another that never sold for $1700.
Anyway, I can get all the pintle and shield mounts. Just not the shield.
So here is my question. If I were to buy some steel and...
Does anybody have a source for an HMMWV turret shield? The going price seems to be about $1K, but I have seen them selling (not sold) for more.
Just picked up a very nice Airsoft M240 (trigger Happy Brand) in Hong Kong that looks really, really good. Would look even better mounted on my HMMWV...
I have used Milspray and attest that they make good paint. They will not sell CARC to the general public though. However, they have a single stage paint that I use that is the same as the CARC minus the silicon particles that makes CARC chemical resistant. It looks really good and matches nicely.
I have a brand new first aid kit mount for the HMMWV. It is U shaped and seems to bend upward to cradle the kit tightly.
Does anybody know where this goes?
I looked though my books and posts and just dont see it
Any ideas or pics would be appreciated
Has anybody installed the rifle mount kit on the M35? I have a brand new NOS kit, but it seems like a lot of drilling to get it installed. I see it in the manual as a listed option. Any ideas or pointers?
Thanks in advance
OK I did a search and saw some nice pics and videos. But I cant find any solid information on getting mounts for an m249 for my HMMWV turret.
Its an m998 1025 slant back, and I have pintles coming out of my A! There needs to be some cradle or something and although I tried to buy some from an...
I am headed off the the registration service this week. However, my WV title says my M35A3 gross weight is 20500 lbs! Can that be true?
Why have I ready elsewhere that the M35 weight 13500? Which one is it? I will have to pay road use fees based on the weight, and it does not qualify as...
RE: Re: RE: M35A3 Engine and Transmission oil
The highest level product I have found is DEXRON®-VI ATF, and it says its backward computable III, II, and I. IS this the best one for me?
Is this rated for trucks like mine, or just cars? It says all GM transmissions.
That is a nice restoration but a sniper platform on a super loud APC is retarded. That said, why would you put a chain gun next to a sniper platform? I though snipers did not want to be seen or heard, and did not want attention drawn to them. You will hear this thing rolling in from a mile away...
