60 amp doesnt use a reg on the firewall it is in the gen. it needs a wiring mod that is availible as a kit to check saturn surplus .i think they had the wiring kit
you wouldnt have any problems towing that with a 3/4 ton or bigger . only thing i would watch out for is having the tongue from the second trailer hangin over your tow vehicle if you have a cap on the back it could hit when going through dips. even a 1/2 ton truck would handle 600lb tongue...

you can get a manual valve body for the 4l80e that would save you having to mess with a computer . the transfer case will work with the 4l80e no problem there .they put the in the civvy h1 so i'm sure you could find a cross member preety easy. the driveshafts will need to be cut or retubed but...
do you have any 12volt taps off of your first battery . if so that is probably your problem. it will make the second bettery overcharge making the battery unable to hold a charge. . i disconnected my 12volt tap and there is no problem with my batteries holding a charge now.

hmm at 575 are you sure it wasnt 545 those are a pretty common trans used in everything from busses to the m35a3 and many others it is a pretty good trans although 2700 with a dirrect drive you will have to run 15.5s or 395s to see top speeds of 56.i dont think it is worth the work to switch...
