maybe john deere makes a deuce that has a thermostat that blocks the coolant flow like the one in greenjeepsters video:cookoo:the rest of us have deuces that the thermostat bypasses. i seen a block heater on a gas engine from the factory once .he said he bought it brand new in alaska funny it...
you need to do the math with the 3053 most guys have that trans only gassers had the 3052. my truck will do 69mph with the 46inch tall tires and the 3053trans if i had a 3052 trans my top speed would be around 53. which is slower than it would do stock with 9.00s.the 3052 is to low of a ratio...
if i were closer i would swap it out for you.you could rent a fork lift or backhoe to do the lifting. some rental yards rent a frames to. which ever works best for you and the terrain you have there .they also have heavy duty engine hoists that handle 2000lbs pretty easy the one i have will do...
ya i think i had the price flipped one set is 2200 each the other is 1200..i need some 7.20 gears for my deuce .then i would have a top speed of around 65 and be able to take off in second a little better.or even some 7.50 gears would put me at around 62 for a top speed and that would make me...
the weight of a 208 wont break a 700 case they come with them. a bad front u joint on the rear shaft will break any case 350,400 700 4l80e,any of them the harmonics and whipping effect will crack the bell housing really quick . also bad mounts will do that to .700 is not a durable trans they...
all that matters is the amount of vac you are getting at the bottom to the modulator.it should be at least 15 at idle. the new modulator will come with a piece of vac line that has a 90degree bend in it that will take care of the difference between the old and the new..if you arent getting...
there are only 3 ratios availible for the rockwells used in the deuce.stock 6.72 .there is a 4.90 and a 5.40 availible.rockwell makes probably around 40 different diffs and different types .marmon harrington can make you a front to go with anything but it will cost you big loot.i believe the...
well the 6.6 doesnt sound worth a swap as it is not much more power or torque .you can get that kind of power from just turning up the fuel a little on the multi fuel..the 7.8 is a good imporvement in power andd torque but unless you are putting bigger tires or high od in it you will lose a...
if you put those rear ends in the back what are you gonna do for the front ?are you gonna lose the all wheel drive .if you're gonna do that you might as well just start with a different truck .why not just get a l9000.
any trans shop will have the filter tube o rings .they dont come in a filter kit just the filter with seal and a gasket.i put two o rings on the tube as it helps it seal and stabilizes the tube too.why pay shipping on a o ring that most any shop would just give you for free. transtar doesnt...
no those are a front load thru shaft air brake axle on the l9000 they are alot bigger than the deuce axles .a multifuel doesnt have enough torque to push that low of a ratio . you would be sadly let down . those are for trucks with 2000ft lb of torque not trucks with 300ft lb of torque
put two orings on there it will help but it is imposible for the filter to fall of of the tube with the pan on .the pan holds the filter on to the tube. the shouldered bolt and pipe spacer is all that comes on there from the factory. you can put some washers on there if you want.put one on the...
fluid level was probably low making it suck air on the hill.that will airate the fluid and make the level show higher than it actually is. check the fluid level again after letting it sit several hours that way the air will settle out of the fluid. fluid will grow to over twice it's size when it...
i agree i would get rid of the single circuit system too . the lack of stopping power is due to the drum brakes not a lack of line pressure. also drum brakes are not self cleaning and require constant adjusting .i dont know the size of 5 ton brakes but i know the drums on a deuce are not much...
i have nothing else to add to block heater threads they seem to be counter productive anymore. if anyone has questions about how my block heater is working for me they can pm me i will be glad to answer any questions they have .thanks you guys have a great night:nothingfunny:
as far as the disc brakes for the front there are several places that sell kits for the 2.5 ton rockwells. some use f650 rotors some use other rotors .if you do a search on it you will come up with all different manufactures . you also will have to run a proportioning valve-residual valve to...
