    Stacking trailers for travel

I remember a Triple Stack of trailers leaving the Goergia Rally a couple of years ago. No incidents. Just be sure to secure them, stop and re-check the tension on the straps after you hit a few bumps and they are settled in. Good to go.

    Drag Race Tranny

One point everyone seems to be overlooking here. Drag cars are designed and built to be EXTREMELY light weight. Most classes have a minimum weight specified in the rulebook (e.t. bracket style racing excluded of course). Their transmissions are engineered for massive acceleration of a light...

Who Uses the Recommended Starting Procedure?

I have always just mashed the pedal to the floor, turned the key until the glow plug light goes out, then engaged the starter without touching the pedal. Engine starts within a second. Stays at high idle until it warms up some then down to normal idle. Always use the block heater any time its...

    GA Rally participants check in

Got home at 12:30 am. No trailer tire issues. A couple of lengthy construction delays on 75 north. It's raining today which will help soften the red Georgia clay on the M1009 and make it a bit easier to clean. Had a great time as usual.

    1984 CUCV M1009 build thread

The steering column looks like it was "peeled" in order ot steal the vehicle. Somebody was not smart enough to acquire a B 73Y2. Then again, nobody ever accused a thief of being smart.

    Pics!

Nice 1009. With those custom rear tire heaters, you should not have any trouble with ice/snow build-up. By the way, I was given a set of 15x10" POLISHED aluminum wheels. They were in perfect condition. I proceeded to knock the shiney off with a roloc disc and painted them flat black (just...
