Be careful driving it on post without tags, registration and insurance. The MP's may pull you over and ask you for a dispatch. Mine is clearly tagged insured, and has a post registration sticker on the windshield. Glad to see the other Soldiers are interested in it too. Bring them on line...
Just about any of the Military Vehicle shows will have one for sale somewhere. Aberdeen had a few as I remember.
First off welcome to Steel Soldiers.
Do you need one for a duece of five ton or a small Jeep winch?
They are BII to the wreckers and if you are really lucky like I was you will...
RE: Re: RE: snow plowing redneck style
Nothing runs like a Deer!
I have yet to mount the plow on my JD it serves as a grass mower only at this point. That is a good way to make it work perhaps you could adapt it to spread sand.
Wow is right!
My M52 is jealous I left it sitting hooked up to the M 127 in the driveway. No work on it till I get home from Korea.
You are doing it right and I can't wait to see more pictures of your fine restoration.
Glad you got home safely and nice to see another Soldier Steel Soldier here too. I took my duece on base all the time once I got the tags and post registration for it. I always wear my ACU's when I pick up too it just opens a few more doors at the GL pick up site. I hope you have a blast at...
Adam:
I know you and your Dad had your truck there I was reffering to Kenny being there without his truck. :lost:
You deserve great admiration for your service to our country and now to all of your friends here on the site. I will not forget your recalling how you saved your ship from...
Kenny Adam and his Dad were there I guess being there sans truck it was a little confusing. Not to mention the Steel Soldiers were quite spread out. I missed Bruce and now It may be a long time before I see any of you again. Adam and his Dad are great Americans and an invaluable part of our...
Adam once again your help has come into invaluable service to one of your fellow Steel Soldiers. I see you looking good in Civies is ALLREDNECK a Soldier too? His ACU's are convincing if he is not.
Brent:
Thanks for posting the link to your pictures it gave me a whole new feeling to having my legs in water waiting for me to hook up to Nicks duece. Welcome to Steel Soldiers you will find this to be a great place to spend time on the web.
Very nice truck and fitting for Wisconsin. I used to live in Sturgeon Bay and the snow was a challenge every winter. Hope you have a great time with it and just wait you will want a trailer for it soon.
I was interested in Mike Huckabee but from what you posted Ron Paul seems to support all the things I hold dear as a gun owner. But more specifically supporting the US Constitution is critical which he seems to support. I am an officer and have sworn to protect it against all enemies.
I found out the ruts were deeper that I had clearance for in the M1009 and Nick had to pull me out. I might add it was effortless for his immaculate duece.
This is just a tag to get you all an idea of the fun we had at the New Jersey Pines ride. We had a blast and I am still finding sand in weird places on the M1009
I love Alaska the short time I was there made me long for more. A chain saw, auger, and a sawmill and you are in business. Keep the accumulation shots coming only cold here in Korea no snow yet but I will post them to this thread when it comes
Looks like you need a maintenance tent for your duece so you can fire it up and drive under the 20 foot snowfall making a tunnel. Please keep us updated on this scene as the snow falls. Stay warm and safe.
Thanks for posting the picture
I hope the tent was in good shape I accquired a few of them and I did not get a chance to fully check that one out before Aberdeen. I would be down to help if I could but that is out of the question. Thanks for all you do for all of us Steel Soldiers. I really want to see your tricked out...
What is the tolerance for the top covers and is there a quick way to check the wear while sitting in the cab? If not once you take it off what do you look for any pictures would be great.
What a great post! I hope to make some of the improvements to my duece and M52 when I get out of the Army and have some time on my hands. Till then I get really edumacated by these great posts and the hard work you all have put into your trucks. I really like the Jane Fanatzi sticker on your...
