Ok, I'm starting to think that someone secretly replaced our Wallew with new special folgers Wallew on crystal meth. First the purple Deuce and now this...Fitty Cal? WTF is that? Fifty, Ma Deuce, Browning Fifty. M2, but it ain't a Fitty Cal. What's next, spinners on your deuce man with low ride...
30 psi is idle, not near to max rpm pressure. On my trip to PA in the deuce, running 15-20 minutes at 25 mph up I77, I didn't see anything close to that low a pressure.
Eric, you don't check your fuel before each drive? Or at least every couple of drives? Also, when you find water in the 1st filter, you should check the second and final filters as you find water.
Though the PS Magazine doesn't say what to do if you find water in the final filter. Does this...
What is special about an intercooler radiator over a standard radiator? Are the openings different shapes for better flow? The ones I looked at online don't look all that different from radiators, except for their arrangement of inlets/outlets. They're also all not cheap at $1000+
But the Hurricane/Spitfire combo are pivotal. Hurricanes for their ease of construction (Plywood and such) and the Spitfires for the extra finesse needed for dealing with the faster bf109-E and -Fs. Again, no victory of Britain in the Battle of Britain and no Overlord.
Hurricane and Spitfire. Fought off the Hun Bombers so England would still be there for the invasion force to launch from and for the Bombers (and P51s) to sortie from.
Besides, the Spitfire had the Rolls Royce Merlin first, the Mustang was a mediocre aircraft with the Allison originally...
Seems like a spring or cable winch could be rigged for the dropsides could it not? A small accessory motor running off 24 volts to run the dropsides back up?
Were the catings that badly rusted to be unusable? I'd expect that as substantial as they are a bit of rust isn't really a big deal. Blast them clean and re-prime. Heck, a nice neat rear pintle brace casting would be perfect for adding to the front bumper for a properly braced front tow point no?
Ok, that makes more sense. Yeah, the lever on the floor has 2 ranges for take up and let off. Set it up in the front of your house and drag things up the driveway to see how it works. Just be very very careful taking the cable up on the drum the last few feet, you want to avoid bending the top...
Reverse (power out) has one speed, take up has 2 speeds, low and high. There should be a notation on the data plate on the floor of the truck. Forwards from the latched position is low and then high iirc. Back from the latched position is reverse low.
Just remember, Under load, the engaging...
The clutch on the truck itself (the one you drive with) engages and disengages the transmission/transfer box and thus the PTO, so you can use that to ease into the pull.
The clutch on the winch itself (side to side lever) engages and disengages the winch when not under load from the winch...
Where it goes wrong is the case of a fellow I know in Philly. He was confronted by a homeless guy he told to go to the end of the line when the fellow tried to cut in line in the store. Outside the homeless guy confronted him with a knife, Tom cleared his holster and told the guy to buzz off...
