MG42 ring mount on my Deuce

Can someone tell me the difference between the M36, M49, and M66 ringmounts? It looks like in a lot of cases they simply reclassified the M36 to the M66 but I'm not sure why or what difference other than what they call them are.

MG42 ring mount on my Deuce

I'd be interested in where to get the legs and the actual ring mount. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like a measured drawing of the legs posted either.

GL Wins today 10/29 - what did you buy?

Last auction there was one in Pineville, LA that went for $3900 and 6-8 that went for under $6k, and 2 for over $6k. One guy bought all the ones under 6. If I see one for under $4k again it's going to be in my driveway.

    And the ballpark prices were?

GL Wins today 10/29 - what did you buy?

I was bidding on that but all I wanted was the shelter. I had already planned on a different 105 but for what that brought I couldn't afford the extra trailer and expense of getting out to Bliss to pick it up.

    Last Deuce at Ft Sam

Right about $700. It's still a good deal if you're looking for a parts truck but more than I paid for the last 3 that I drove off the lot. This one is missing the exhaust manifold, part of the cooling system, both seats, both windshields, the light switch, etc, etc. I'd like to reiterate...

    Last Deuce at Ft Sam

Well the last A2 deuce listed as something other than scrap (still with a NSN as a LMTV though) just sold at Ft Sam. I hope the person who bought it wasn't a Steel Soldier member or at least previewed it and knows what they're getting.

Picked up my last deuce today...

Oh, contraire. Maybe the last "complete" A2 (although this one wasn't complete itself).

Picked up my last deuce today...

He forgot to mention it only had 1 mirror (right hand side so we had to swap it), ran hot, and the lights were a bit giggly. But other than that it went smooth as broken glass. Glad to hear you made it home in one piece. Sorry about having to have it towed. We really need a set of feet for...

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

I don't know why, but there are A2s being auctioned off (I just bid on one) and several more listed for future sales. They don't show up in the normal places but they're out there.

Catastrophic failure of passenger side alternator mounting assy...

Sorry to hear about the CUCV. Sounds like you should just part it out now. I'll take the radio rack and PRC-77 vehicle mount

    deuce value without title?

Every state is different when it comes to titling and registering your vehicle. In TX if you buy a vehicle (other than from the govt) and don't register it within a certain time frame you, or the person you then sell it to, gets hit with a penalty fee. We don't have a state income tax but...

    Problem getting a title. Help?

Your easiest, and probably cheapest, way to do this is go through someone like Broadway Title. I've used them for 2 vehicles and it is a world of difference taking that in to the DMV than trying to do it with a SF-97 made out to ME let alone someone else. When I registered my deuce (with a...

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

There's always a way to get a title but I don't like the thought of driving 13k+ of scrap steel with the frame cut in half.

Texas 1st Annual Fill the Deuce Food Drive

Okay all you Texas Steel Soldiers members listen up. Operation Homefront of San Antonio is having the 1st Annual "Fill the Duece" food drive on Nov 7. Anyone coming for the Randolph Air Force Base Air Show should plan on bringing something to add to the cause. Operation Homefront not only...

    Deuce Door latch

This must be a seasonal thing. My driver's door started doing this a couple of weeks ago. Anyone know if a M37 door latch would work? At least the spring?

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

Here's a new M35A2 that was just added to GL. I think I'm going to pass on this one though;-)

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

I know who just picked up the new salvage contract at Ft Sam and have been assured that if the deuces do get scrapped that I'll have first choice of anything before it goes to the crusher. If this happens, everyone fill out your Christmas list and I'll try to fill it (for a small fee of course;-))
