    jeeze, they must have kept wailing on that thing even after it stopped moving. i had the opposite issue, the freeze plug dropped in to the block passages, boy was that fun getting out.

    agreed, unless you convert to crossover steering when doing a suspension lift, since it takes all the stress off of that part of the frame.

    hmmwv motor upgrade????

    if you go with a duramax you NEED to go with the allison transmission, the 4l80e wont handle the torque output from the engine for very long. re: fitting one in a CUCV you can make any engine fit in any vehicle with enough work, but its no where near a "drop-in" upgrade for the duramax to fit...

    Power steering bracket

    try to get a left hand twist drill bit, it may free that up better than an easy out. if your lucky it wont have snapped flush with the block, you may be able to get a set of vise grips on whats left of the bolt.

    you dont need 24v switches. just get heavy duty 12v ones and you'll be fine.

    its your truck, but imho 44's are too big a tire for these trucks and to still be able to use the truck as a truck. To fit those tires you'd need at least 10" of lift, and deep backspacing on the rims, with that much height crossover steering is a must. you will need to cut the inner C's from...

    M1008 Civvy Hitch Conversion.

    you are putting a lot of stress on the bumper itself. dont expect to be able to tow anything heavy with that, you will tweak the bumper. that plate would need to be reinforced with bracing running to the frame rails to be able to tow anything near the rating of the hitch.

    silver relay, buy an AC40 from the parts store and plug it in. this is a very common thing to happen.
