look on the pass side right at the front of the pan the round thing with the line going to it is the modulator some vac pumps are belt drivin and some are electric or run off the injection pump ive seen it different ways depending on the year
ye sit is ive been building transmissions for 18years ive built probably 1000 of em and they have a modulator the controls shift timing and firmness and a kickdown soloniod that is for kick down
the modulator is no the pass side at the front of the pan rail it has a vac line going to it pull the line off at the bottom check vac with a guage first if vac is good there is a little screw where the vac line goes on to the modulator if you use a small screwdriver and turn the screw out to...
check vacume to the modulator with a guage it should have at least 20 inches of vac at idle and drop when the gas pedal is pressed .other than that it could be the gov sticking or you might just have to adjust the modulator
didnt look like brake fluid :roll:thats alot of fluid for it to be brake fluid .like the plug idea could come in handy when on those long trips .well i guess you get to fix it all when you're in there.just another joy of owning a deuce
ive got a ldt-1d in mine it gets 13mpg even pulling a m105 with the cover but i have 15.5s on my truck and fuel turned up.stock i got 9-10mpg i think d turbos get better gas milage.anyone getting better than 13 with a c turbo:?:
395s or 15.5 do way better in the mud ,snow rain and sand since youre not running duals in the front 395s are best for the mud but wear kind of fast on the street .rain and snow the 15.5s do awsome :-D
very nice looks fun to me .i love the pics the girls look worried about the weeds :roll:and the guys look scared of the cameras to funny:-D:-Dkeep it going next thing you know we'll be having rallys at your place :?:
you also have to take into consideration that wider tires grow more with centripital force from them being rotated and 15.5s and 395s are 46.7 inches tall .my rpms are at 2600 when the speedo reads the o in hour.so yes i believe 2500 would be about 69mph.any mechanical speedo will have error...
15,5s or 395s are 15% taller than the stock 9.00s the speedo adapter you need is 15% overdrivin they have them at boyce equip and they know which one you need .give them a call they can help you out .cuz the math doesnt lie its all multiplecation.my speedo is right i checked the miles travled...
how about running some 14.5 xls on there they are 43-44 inches tall would be similar width to the 16-20 probably a little heavy .but they would get you through the mudd better and would make a hugh difference on the street to
good news is the truck is fixable and people like that will never have heart enough to do something nice for themselves.they will have to live with the fact they are just punks for the rest of their lives
