RE: Loss of fuel MPG over time, what
ask for the 6.2L nozzles for the injectors, also have them set the pop pressure to the upper end of the normal range, I dont recall what the stock pressure is, but a slightly higher pressure will atomize the fuel better.
most of the guys that have loose spacers, didnt pull the rims off after the first 100, 500 and 1000 miles to retighten them (just like you do on the rims).
It looks great, I've read a lot of guys saying that the sides are on the weak side. just 14ga. sheetmetal on a frame. I'd love to get one and beef up the side of it some.
iirc its JB8, but dont qoute me. What parts are you planning on replacing? the only differences would be in the vlaving of the Master Cylinder and the proportioning valve.
I have found that wd-40 doesnt work in the cold weather we get during our winter here in MI (lows of single digits without windchill) Dry silicone spray works and is also safe for the GP's. ether used properly is safe. the object is not to start the truck on ether, but to use the ether to raise...
you should ALWAYS disconnect the glow plugs when you have to use ether. and a lot is not needed, a quick 1/2 second shot in each side of the intake is more than suffecient.
to disconnect the plugs, just pull the blue wire off of the small spade on the glow plug relay.
the president doesnt control what company gets the contract, seriously. Anything like that is first approved by the DoD and then goes before the Senate, would you guys please read before posting stuff like that.
he has fuel at the filter, only do one line, no sense in doing all of them, when one will tell you. easiest is the front drivers side, as its got nothing in the way.
yeah thats normal. you need to crack one of the nuts at the end of the metal lines, not the rubber line. dont stand in the way of it while cranking, as fuel could be injected under your skin. (very, very bad thing) If you have fuel, I would then start checking the glow plugs. do a quick search...
pull the pink wire, turn the key to run. then when you put the pink wire back on the spade connector, you should hear a click. If you dont then check with a multimeter that you do have voltage on that wire. if you have voltage, the fuel shutoff solenoid inside the cover of the IP is bad/ or stuck.
