Frank,
Please check out rule #8.
The less clutter we have the easier it is to get a response from the GL rep.
Please have "member to member communication" in the other non GL sections.
Thanks!
Emmado
There is a very good chance the reason the GL is not letting you look at it yet, is because they do not own it. When I went to get one of my M35s at Camp Lejeune, there were alot of M35s in the lot. A very nice GL employee told me I could look at the ones that were tagged with a red sticker, as...
I think most of the vehicles you are seeing were suppied under the MAPP program in the 1950s. The United States was rebuilding and giving away 1000s of vehicles that were made during WWII. I still come across tags on military vehicle parts with MAPPS tags on them.

I had that problem on my first jeep, I did what ACE said, warmed the top some and it would fit. I placed my top in a heated room, let it sat for awhile, them went and put it on.

I never seen Halon issued with a truck. It does not leave any residue, and if you are fighting a fuel fire, that makes it easy for the fire to reflash. Note, Halon WILL KILL you very fast. It displaces the air in your lungs. We lost a Marine here back while I was in. He was in an open warehouse...
Great find!
I have 4 Allis Chalmers, 2 model Bs, 1 model C with a bucket loader and a D10.
My most prized Allis Chalmers item is a mint 1944 dated TM for the Allis Chalmers model B. Yes, the model B was "drafted" and did serve during WWII. I plan on painting one of the Bs a Navy gray and hooking...

You might want to start looking for another surplus dealer. If he is telling you that he has been useing the same EUC for 30 plus years. The EUC is something that has come out sence 9/11. If he is BSing you on the EUC, what else is he telling you?
I have been buying surplus for 34...
On the last couple of lots of M35A2Cs that were at Camp Lujeune, they were nice. The GL guy who I deal with on my bids was telling me they were the best he had seen. You got a nice truck.

My friends place down the road several years ago brought in two beautiful 5 ton dumps from Virgina. I remember the spare tires had never been on the ground. I asked him what they were going to be sold for? his reply was nothing, I am cutting both up for parts, they both have gas engines, I can...
NATOPS manuals are used by Navy and Marine air units.
NATOPS means: NAVAL AIR TRAINING & OPERATING PROCEDURE & STANDARD
To a Marine NATOPS meant: NOT APPLICABLE TO OUR PRESENT SITUATION
Hope this helps.

Seveal years ago, some one wrote a great story on the care and feeding of the M880 series truck for military vehicle magazine. As I am unpacking, if I come across it, I will make a copy of it for you.
Also, have you ever seen a NATOPS manual for the M880? One of my Marines found...
RE: M151

You are right on the WC63 being the winch model and the WC62 being the non winch model.
On your post above on the hood number, the hood number is not on the data plates. That number is given to the vehicle by the military. It is put on at the factory, but has nothing to do with the vehicle...

A Marine friend (he joined our Corps on June 1941) told me to rub soap on the part of the canvas that slides in the slot at the top of the windshield. I tried it and it works.

I will try to get you some inside photos.
No, it does not run, it did 18 years ago when I got it. I drove into our back yard , then spent 18 years getting what was missing.
Yes, It has all the seats!!part of the 18 year search.
Also, I have dropped the price to $3500 to a good home...
What are the two red lights on the front bumper? I have one on the front of my M35A1, and was clue less to what it is or why it was there. The one I have looks just like the two you got. The light I have is also mounted on the bumper, right in the middle. Also, I just got this M35A1 from GL and...
If you look closely at the photos, you will notice, it is marked on the doors "DRMO". This is official markings. With those type of markings it could be sneaked any where. I think, for national security, they van should be destroyed on site, to keep it and wheel chocks from falling into the...
I am having a Marine who repairs flight equipment make me 5 OD canvas socks that will fit over the exhuast pipes on all my M35A2s. It also will have the red "remove before flight" streamer on it. I had one made a couple of years ago for my tractors.

You saved a little kitty today. I went out to one of my M35s to get you some photos. As I took the photos I heard a weak meow. We have an out side kitty that was part of the deal for our new place. I do not like cats, but this guy won me over by following me like a fateful dog and he has...
