Thanks for the input guys. This is my first winter with the 1009 as my only transportation.Mine used to start decent when down to 0,but last year it didn't do so well.
I bought a 1000watt unit from Bostic Motors Inc.,but have not installed yet.It looks sturdy and says made in Canada.I also picked up some spare freeze plugs, just in case it leaks.Last winter was brutal!
Glad to hear everyones ok.Last year my neighbor backed his focus into my open tailgate on my 1009,I looked at his car and thought there is no way tailgate will close right, but it didn't hurt it at all,his trunk smashed in a good 6-8 inches..We were both amazed I had no damage!

Cold start functions well, new GPs and checked, new starter spins good, idle speed turned up a bit,all filters new.I think its the IP even though truck runs fine with no lift pump and has no bubbles in return line.Or maybe IP timing is off.I posted a vid.of it on youtube search rsh4364 then look...
I replaced injectors and it still idles rough but runs even better. Then I thought I might have low compression on a few cylinders, did test(thanks richingalveston) all cylinders in 385-400 psi range.the rough idle is much more noticeable in gear not so much when in park or neutral.Clear fuel line...
Looks great!Been wanting a softtop for a couple years, wow 30lbs.Thats a big weight savings.I just didn't want to spend the $ just yet.I have to get a new IP then everything should be good.I hope.
