My driveway is a little over 1/4 mile. I always need rock.
The bed sides actually went all the way to the top of the headboard before I installed it. I knew that was going to be way too much so I cut the sides down to what you see. I wasn't going to get that much but the loader man dumped it...
The bed is actually the same length as the standard cargo. 12'
I knew I would get one or two of these. Didn't know this was a IQ test. oh well.
I'm covered with anything I put in the bed through Farm Bureau.
Hauled a load of rock yesterday with my uncles deuce I put a dump bed on. The truck weighs almost 16,000lb empty and there is 7 ton of rock on there. It was awfully slow on hills. He gave me the rock so I think I'm going to repay him with a pyro and a few turns on the smoke screw.
I'm not sure it's completely stopped but for some reason it's slowed way down (yes, I've checked the oil level). I've kind of put it lower on the "to do" list since it's not leaking as bad. It's still damp toward the front of the oil pan but it's not blowing it all under the truck anymore.
What was the voltage reading on it. :-D
This could have been caused by a bolt in the place of the shear pin. Better check that shear pin when you get it back together.
That's not only a good deal, that's a great deal. I've seen non-winch trucks without air-assist go for more than $3,000 lately (after you add the fees).
It can be tough to get the shaft out if it's rusty.
I have tried some extreme measures in the past to get them out but you do risk breakage. I've heated and pounded on the fork pretty good to get them free. I haven't broken anything but I knew there was a risk and wouldn't have been so rough...
Any body parts will move fast for US vehicles and you can get a pretty good bit of them in the containers. The smaller parts like the gauge panel and lights will move fast too.
Things like the pics of brake drums and frames will take up a lot of space in the container and be slow movers. I'm...
Don't expect people to front you any money on this venture. I'm sure people would be interested depending on what the parts are after you've established yourself here on the site. I must admit, at face value this sounds a little fishy.
True. I know I'm guilty of wanting to get a truck for cheap but at the same time complain about government waste. It is kind of hypocritical but we all do it.
The main thing with sealed bidding is the process. In a live auction if bidder "A" bids $100 on an item and bidder "B" wants to beat him, he knows all he has to bid is $105 (or whatever the next increment is). In a sealed bid bidder "A" bids $100 but that is not know by bidder "B". Bidder "B"...
You can on some trucks. I've seen several 2-ton trucks that were modified by companies to increase GCVW. They will have the original weight tag in the door removed and replaced with the new ratings. They will also have the company's name on the tag that did the modifications. Most of the time...
Do research on the "law of thermodynamics". It's actually pretty comical hearing people talk about this like they are on the verge of being the next Albert Einstein or something but "big oil" is keeping them down.
It makes no difference what process you use to turn water into hho. It still takes more energy to produce the hho than it makes. It's simple physics. Sure, some systems do better than others but it's still a loosing battle. I do think it's pretty neat that you can take tap water and make a...
I've been planning on a engine swap for a couple of years but the old Tornado just won't die. When it's time to swap I'm planning on going with a GM engine of some sort. I had originally planned on going with a inline six but haven't ruled out a 350. I've got a 3053 deuce trans and divorced 205...
