    Major tire trouble

You won't find any 20" tubeless rims. The tubeless equivalent to a 20" tube type wheel is 22.5". I've got piles of standard 20" deuce wheels. Shipping would be a killer though.

Lookie What Showed Up at Work Today...

Some 3-axle trailers have the rear axle that will "flip up". You unpin it and flip it onto the top of the tandems. It saves tires and brakes when the third axle isn't needed and also makes for less restrictions in some states (as the OP posted). In TN only oversized loads aren't permitted to...

New EPA Regulations On Large Truck Emissions

I think the railroad makes perfect sense. You know they are much more efficient than trucks. Of coarse you still have to have a truck to carry the goods from the rail yard to most places. The problem is that the railroad is just plain hard to deal with. We ship a fair amount of goods and I've...

    Hydraulic oil compatable?

The wrecker hyd is a simple system. Just about any hyd oil will work. I'd use it if it were mine.

Am I having a pipe dream?

They don't knock on your door. They pull you over and dip the tank. It's happened to me several times in the past (not in the deuce). When they stop you they are looking for red dyed fuel (off-road fuel). I have no idea what they would do if it comes up black. I would suspect they would send it...

    Winch Teardown Q

Are you missing the whole drum lock or is just the threaded part broken? You can add a new threaded rod by grinding the end of the lock smooth, drilling it, tapping it, and inserting a piece of all-thread (with loctite). I've fixed several this way.

    Low profile military semi trailer

I'm not sure the military ever used anything like a Landoll trailer. Most trailers of that type run either 15" tube type tires or 17.5" tubeless. I've never seen a semi trailer with 16.5" or 19" on them. The M870 uses 15" but it's a folding neck trailer. We've got two trailers with 17.5" on...

    Rear mount logloader on m35a2

Personally, I'd rather have the loader mounted a little farther ahead than on the rear. Just looks like a lot of weight hanging on the back. Why not mount it next to the cab like the civi truck?

    .

They sold two of them out of Ft. Campbell a couple of years ago. I didn't know what they were at the time but those pics are exactly what they were. They had the box on them like in one for the pics. I previewed them for Gimpy. Best I remember, he didn't know what they were either but wanted...

    Need some M101a2 Parts

:ditto: I think a M101 can be made into a dump but it needs to be modified to beef up the weak parts. I will add that most of the ones I've seen broken were overloaded and/or abused.

    M747 destroyed by crooks

Looks like the work of common scrap thieves myself. First off, that neck isn't made like any civilian trailer so the neck wouldn't work without extensive modification (It would be much easier to just build one from scratch). Second, If I were removing that neck to put on another trailer I would...

    2012 F450 Hauling 32,000 lbs. (5 TON)GVWR=44,500

I not doubting what your friend is doing but it's not legal to cross over into most states with out of state farm tags. I know in TN you will get fined heavily with Maryland farm tags, no IFTA sticker, and no TN authority. It's not too bad to run commerically in most states as long as you stay...

    $400 a gallon

It sounds ridiculous but who knows. It wouldn't be the first time the government overspent by 10,000%.

    Need some M101a2 Parts

I agree about not having want adds in the forum but this thread does serve a purpose other than violating the rules. Seems quite a few people are having problems converting their M101 into dump trailers lately. I guess the GL vid on how to convert to dump left the part out about breaking the...

    M747 destroyed by crooks

I wonder why they are so stingy with it? If I owned a store I would be more than happy to help catch a crook. I hope the OP has better luck with the cops than we do around here. We've had rampant theft at our place of business and have had no help from the cops. They will come out and write a...

    oops Rags in Intake

You may have gotten lucky. I'd pull the intake and see how far they got. If they didn't make it past the valves you'll be ok and should be able to pull them out without removing the head. If they did make it to the cylinder there's a chance you caused damage. You sill may have got out lucky...

WANTED: Local M35s in KY March 2-4

I may can make it with a couple of trucks. I used to go to Greenville pretty often when Hammonds yard was still there.

    M747 destroyed by crooks

This beats all I've ever seen and makes me boiling mad. Nail their butt to the wall if you find them. It can be fixed and be DOT legal but it will still never be "right" again. At least now you can just lower the neck to your needed 5th wheel height.

    Major engine oil leak

I will definitely get it fixed before going on a long trip. For now it seems to be holding up driving local.

    Looking for a flatbed trailer

I 3/4 ton generator trailer should work great for a welder. You could also get a M101 and remove the sides (which is basically what a generator trailer is).
