you wouldnt be able to use the same power source for the lights themselves, but could use it for triggering the relay. you will need to splice in a second power connection , since the factory setup for the lights is that all the power runs through the bo/service switch and then to the bo switch.

Do your front springs have a negative arc? (meaning the center is the highest point of the spring) If not then you have a mild lift on your truck.
the front springs can be narrower on the 1/2 tons. the one ton runs a wider spring up front. measure it and be sure you get one with the same width springs.
