i didnt think that the m1009 seats reclined, only went forward.
and the burb was available with front bucket seats.
we did the above on a buddies blazer.

I'll second that opinion, I had to clean up most of the edges, and omg the price of those 4special locknuts for the turbo ( :shock: $8 EACH!!! :shock: )

without engine, I would say that truck is worth ~$1800 to $2200
Its got a nice body on it and the axles themselves are worth $1200
it seems like you have a huge draw on the 12v system in the truck, like a dead short. Check the connections around the alternator and that distribution block on the firewall for shorted wires. Also check the chassis ground thats on the passenger frame rail near the front battery (they are known...

well, the governor is supposed to be set at 3600rpm, but i have heard that some of the trucks got IP's that were set at 4200rpms.

once installed you need to tune it so its accurate, also if the belt slips it will be off. but as installed should get you close enough to to worry about it.
yes, just remove the resistor and all should be fine.
if you download the unit tech manual
it will have the wiring schematics and you will be able to trace the wires from the volt meter to where they connect to the charging circuit.
ken, could you snap a picture of how your lines are, I'd like to see that.
If i had pulled the factory lines and rebent hard line, I might have been able to make it work, but would have been in the way of the engine fan.
I ended up going with dual electric fans @2600cfm ea.
I have no cooling...
the steering fluid leaking by the brake pedal would be the hydroboost correct, and this may cause some steering issues simply because of the pressure drop due to the leak, but thats more of a byproduct of the braking issue. since the problem is intermittent, it could be something blocking a line...
