correct terminology is actually "aftercooled." and i don't believe that the multi has a air/water intercooler - someone else?

sorry, pigpen' - i was actually asking Rolling' when he said: from this statement, i don't know if he's talking about his truck or your truck [pigpen'] ? i know you said already that you were getting ready to start your IC project. i was interested if Rolling's truck was already IC'd - i'd...

    M35A2 bobbed as Expedition vehicle?

wehring, what bed crane is that in the last picture - from NorthernTool??

Work on the War Pig continues

yeah, the painless system is just a wiring harness to support the engine and related electronics and sensors/sendors - not the rest of the vehicle. 12volt conversion would be pretty basic: charging system - easy alternator swap batteries - easy rewire from series to parrallel starting...

    cpl number for nhc 250

no, you were right - it's just that's how it used to be. before you used to be able to walk into a cummins parts place and give them the CPL. now, they can't look anything up w/out the ser no. and most places will not sell you any parts unless it is "authorized" for that ser no. at least...

    cpl number for nhc 250

CPL = components parts listing and actually, anymore you can't get parts w/out the engine serial number. CPL basically just identifies common engines, but you can't get parts just off of that number.

so, is your engine already IC'd? did you say it was? regrinds don't change lobe seperation angle. understand. regardless, i'm

you're right, anything is possible. and, yes, after a good rebuild and several custom pieces (cam, rods, pistons, head studs, intake, exhaust manifold, head mods, etc) i'm sure it will do great. if you're set on this route and willing to spend the thousands - sweet!! honestly, i'd love to see...

V-100 commando front axle's for sale

well, actually Ouverson also has stock-sized 16 spline shafts that are alloy and supposedly much stronger than stock shafts for $1k - no machine work required. add an ultralocker for $480 and you're done. so, unless you're going to get that rare front-end for significantly less than $1500...

Rolling', this statement is why i think this guy (the expert) is full of it. if he doesn't have experience directly w/ it, i'm not sure i would believe it. you need to remember that these engines were designed almost 50 years ago - not exactly the greatest and sturdiest tech out there...

V-100 commando front axle's for sale

what makes them stronger - just the bigger shafts? if so, depending on selling price, i'm sure upgraded shafts would be a more cost effective solution than an entire axle assy. no?

    scissors bridge tanks?

i hope they didn't - they haven't been used since the invasion... what camp? maybe they are centralizing them for movement?

Full hydro help needed...smart math people!

now you make no sense why you wouldn't go w/ the PSC kit. $830 is certainly less than a $G, but you're more tempted to get an air-assist if it's less than $900?? which i had your connections - difference is, i'd use them.

you'll have to add a pressure relief valve into that system w/ that style pump. may get more flow, but system gets more complicated (and pricey).

yes - but it isn't a factory pump.

    Water Injection

i wouldn't put propane into an engine w/ 22:1 compression. you'll have to very closely regulate the amount of propane injected into the intake in order to control combustion pressure spikes. propane is just another fuel source, and if you don't provide more air, egt's will get out of control...

Full hydro help needed...smart math people!

most automotive power steering [hydraulic] pumps are rotary vane pumps - adjustable displacement. typically gear or gerotor pumps (and other fixed displacement) pumps are spec'd per that displacement. rotary vane pumps basically provide a volume based on both rpm and pressure, where as fixed...

    Water Injection

i think you just outlined a much more cost-effective path, right there. a standard rated dt should easily meet your torque needs. plus, a '466 with a [inline] p-pump is stoopid-easy to modify for power enhancements. aftermarket injectors and turbo upgrades are readily available. it's a sled...

    Water Injection

one factor is different, though: modern trucks have intercoolers. the water/meth acts as a heat transfer medium for the air intake charge to better interact (read: transfer heat through) with the IC. do you think you'll still see the advertised gains w/out an IC? not trying to shoot down...

    Water Injection

oops. you're right!!! i mis-read the OP post. i did think he was saying that the water would add 130hp. now that i have learned how to read, i think the biggest limitation to that reliable 285hp motor will be compression ratio. i think that's going to hurt, a lot. and is this...
