I would put a vote against a body lift as well, you'll never be happy with one. I would reccomend the skyjacker kit, as they have slightly stiffer springs. a kit that price is going to come with new front springs and blocks for the rear, if your blazer has "saggy-butt" then it might end up...
I run the spacers on my m1008 with no issues. I put them on and torqued them to 150ft/lbs.
then retorqued after 100miles and 500miles, dont forget that you will have to retorque the rims as well.
to run the H1 rims without spacers in the front, all you need is to convert to the DRW (dual rear...
I would go with the ext. lines from a guy on www.coloradok5.com, he is in the vendor section. his username is shane74. The lines are $45 ea. They are beefy, and the std. ones that he sells are good for 6-8" of lift.
Re: RE: THATS THE RUB...
yes they do, but it still needs the VSS imput
the only way around that is to go with a full manual valve body, like the one that transgo makes, with it you dont need any computer, but you have to shift it manually of course.
RE: THATS THE RUB...
on the Spike Tv network, the show "extreme 4x4" did a 4l80e with a np205 on the end. they had the output shaft of the 205 machined down to fit a reluctor ring from a 700r4, then they had the rear housing fly cut and tapped to screw in the sensor. I have the episode saved on...
in regards to the speed sensor, you can modify the rear housing of the 205, you pull off the speedo gear and a reluctor ring is put on, then you drill and tap the housing for the sensor to thread in and you have an electronic speed senor :)
the np205 will bolt up to the 4l80e, the adapter will have to be machined a small amount, the only difference is that the indexing ring on the newer trans is slightly larger, so a little metal must be taken off of the adapter. You will need to get a 4wd trans though, or you can have the shaft...
for engine oil I use Rotella 15w40 (every 3000miles) also change oil filter.
I change the fuel filter every other oil change.
use any regular antifreeze, you will want to have it flushed if it looks rusty colored.
both trans and transfer case use ATF, just top off the trans and tcase unless...
The multi shouldn't have an probs with the new fuel, since ther are of a different design. Dumping in a little oil or "power service" wouldn't hurt though.
