I would check the Tech Manuals first to see if it is explained there, I dont know the TM for the contact truck off hand, but it might be in the -30 for the cucv trucks that you can find under the tech section on the left of the page.

I'll be meeting up with the group with gilbert, I have to work tuesday night( i get out at 1am on wed.) so I'll be driving straight down to his house to catch a few hours sleep.
another reason for mounting the tires "backwards" is that if you get stuck in soft stuff, you will be able to get a grab going in both directions. a lot of guys that play in the mud do this, it really does make a difference when you are stuck.
