I know my M870 has a tag on the neck. I'm not sure if the frame is stamped somewhere or not. If it is I've never seen it ( I went over it pretty good when I was cleaning it for paint).

It sounds like the threads may be gaulded. The fine threads of the lugnuts will do that every once in a while. If that's the case, you won't get it off without cutting it.

The trans may be ok then. A good close up pic would be good to look at to make sure. At the very least I believe I'd pull to cover and wash the trans out really good with some sort of solvent. All those pieces of gear from the PTO are in that trans somewhere.
