Let me see if I got this straight. You bought a truck from GL, some guy shows up and demands the GL guy give him your heater (out of your truck), the GL guy gives him your heater and then calls you and apologizes. Have I got it right?
I've had a bunch of FBI background checks and the governent has my pic and my fingerprints (several coppies of each). I have to wait in line just like everybody else.
Yes, a 5.9 with intercooler will fit inside a A2 engine compartment. Check out this thread- http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/20504-experimental-deuce.html . It's pics of the M35A3 prototype I mentioned earlier.
There was the M35A3 prototype that had a 5.9 Cummins and a2 sheetmetal. Why on earth the government didn't go with it is beyond me.
I've even seen a couple sell on GL (or was it GSA?) so they are out there. It's my understanding that they made several production units but most went overseas.
I've had people in the back several times but I'll admit it's not a really good idea. What worries me is the liablity of somebody getting hurt. I watched the video posted of the guy carrying people in the back going through a mudbog and just cringed. It sure looked like alot of fun but the...

I guess you could modify the truck to where the hood didn't slope upward but you'd have to raise the cab.
The only problem I can think of with raising the cab would be a few linkages and you'd have to modify the steering shaft.
I don't think so. A m-series gauge is a m-series gauge. They are made the same for the sole purpose of having only one set of gauges for all vehicles. If they are in fact m-series gauges they are the exact same gauges that are used in the M35A2 and any other m-series vehicle (ok, except the m880...
I've installed a civilian ignition on m7 M715. At the moment I'm running the coil through a 24v/12v converter but I've been wanting to try something.
From what I understand, most 12 ignitions run on 6v. This is done either with a coil with a built in resistor or a standard coil with a...
I know a little about beekeeping and think the deuce would work fine for what you're wanting to do.
Do a search for "GL" and you'll find all you ever wanted to know about buying a truck from them. The bottom line is, there can be some good deals but they are a pain in the rear to deal with...
My local welding supply said it depends on how much gas you use. He said that if you rent bottles the gas is cheaper per cubic foot but you have to pay rent. If you don't use alot of gas though, the cost of rent will out weigh any savings on gas price.
For most homeowners, it's cheaper in the...
I don't have a use for it down here in TN but you more than likely need some sort of starting aid that far north. My supply line deveolped a leak so I just disconnected the line and installed a pipe plug where it comes out of the IP. I never used it anyway.
What's the deal with a #53 block? I've got a '98 Dodge with a 24 valve and am just curious. I haven't heard anything about this.
You're right about the IP. The main thing to keeping the IP happy is to make for sure it's getting a good supply of fuel at all times.
