Why on earth would you want to replace the pump with a electric one? You have to fab it in its not going to be a bolt in, and the wires to control it... for my 30 bucks I will stick with the factory type pump.

unless your blowing a ton of black smoke you should be ok. And if you do with the HP injectors just turn the fuel down a touch and get it back in control.

have you replaced the fuel filters? I was having the same problem with my deuce and the filters were SHOT only after 6 months.

Well you have a bad starter or power coming down to the relay. check it out before you go install a 12v starter. If you look at the wkki you will find out how to do the 12v starter.

thats what I would do.. worst case I would drill out the pin and install a bolt. No way I would pay 100 or more. I would fix them first.

no they should move free.. there is a large torsion rod in there that holds the weight of the tail gate. Most of them are long gone, but that should move free.

Well 6TL are the "stock" units but really any 1000 amp will work. I Had two 1100 Amp Die hard in mine and they worked great.
