my remote start on my Duramax has it set to turn on the power and wait 15 seconds for the glow plugs and then hit the starter. my truck never goes over 10 seconds on the glow plugs so that works out well. On my M1009 I have to wait sometimes at least 25 seconds for the glow plugs when it is...
I have a sweet M1009 I would trade ya. just replaced the inner fenders and all the hoses today. New tires, flushed the brake fluid with DOT 5. 2 inch lift going on this weekend with all new shocks. new radiator, new alternator, fuel pump... lots and lots of work done to it.. drives 100%
yes a farm store. The best is to use a pto shaft off a tractor. All you have to do is cut the shaft to size and bolt her in. farm and fleet / Fleet farm, Tractor supply store, any place like that and you will find all the parts you need.
well really yes and no.. Year one has radios that will fit "nob" type. that's the only type that will fit with out cutting. you can get "nob" type at walmart and other discount places but they stink.
you can adjust the speeds down a tad.. that is really high 2ed to 3rd shift. I have mine set to shift at 20 and 30. I still have a good firm shift too. All you have to do is there is a small screw in the vac line "nipple" of the modulator. Adjust it out (counter clock wise) with a small pen type...
I have done it. take about a day. not too much to it. Just unbolt everything and bolt it back on your other truck. You may or may not need to cut out some hols on the fire wall to make the 2.5 ton stuff fit the 5 ton steering shaft. Depends on the year of the cab. The NOS one I had, had both...
yeah the kit is worth that.. but I would never pay that much... JC Whitney has motors the bolt in for the deuce and 24V.. there about 40 or 50 each. there single speed but that works for me.
for the 10 bolt is 5/8 inch thick x 3 inch curve x 7.5 inch long (that's 3 of them) and the 5/8 thick X 3.5 inch curve and 9 inch long. That's for stock. if you have thicker springs or add a leafs you will want longer ones.
then they have the wires switched in my blazer because when the charging light came and stayed on my blazer (#2) I replaced the driver side and the bearings were burnt out. and now it works fine.
And Mang is correct. #1 is the Driver side..
Dont know whats up with mine. but its working fine now
