$4200 is not that far out of line if the truck is decent. I have seen good winch trucks in the $3500 range though. I think your thinking right to offer $3500 and go from there.

The "pipe" does not come off. It's part of the plug. When you order new plugs you just screw them into the heads and attach wires.

I'm pretty sure it's pipe thread but am not 100% on the size. A standard pipe plug should work . You shouldn't need any gasket but you can put some teflon tape or pipe dope on the threads to make sure it don't leak.

Just so you know when you fill out your sf97 this is not the truck serial number. It's the registration number.
