    Your batteries should not freeze. They freeze when they are no good. You should not bring batteries in to a home to charge. They give off deadly and explosive gasses. Have you ever tested your antifreeze?

    If your glowplugs have been cycled once, they are not new. It takes 2-5 minutes to measure them individually with a meter. That is the only possible way you can say(know) they are good. It sounds like your starter is too slow to start it, from your description.

    Proper starting is covered in the -10TM. Troubleshooting is covered in the -20TM. The manuals are free to download, right here in the Technical Manuals section. I just wait for the light to go out and turn the key. 3-4 seconds later, it's running.
