thay are combat rims, i would guess very rare for a deuce, i have seen pics of early deuces both gmc and the reo series out fitted with these, but never have seen any first hand on one of these trucks

the number for o ring in the hemtt rims is 52-49529-00, there is only ONE o-ring shown, there is two different rims used on the hemtt , the 2 piece with o-ring and the 3 piece split rim

i just went out and put a tape on my 819 axles, center of axle to center of axle is 54", i just installed torque rods, these were the standard rods used on most 5t, so i would say 54" is the standard spacing

yes, it will run better, should not run hot if the rad. is clean and the water pump is ok even if you are working it, the auto will run better to. that trans is nothing but a tricked up caddy trans, i beleive the caddys of that day ran 195s ,also see if you can run 235 points,mite be easer to...
get a standard chevy 165 deg. for a chevy 235, i beleive a chevy 250/290 engine uses the same one. 165 is a little cool, a lot less carbon and sluge build up with a 195
jeff , my tires are 46" tall, unless i have the wrong speed-o adaptor(one for the 1400 tires) my speed-o hits 60 then goes past as if there was another 5 mph mark, my wife followed me one day before i got the speed-o working and said i was doing 60 or a little more and that was not the freeway...
