the high range sliding gear is worn, i beleave these are syncoed transfers, that to will cause it to pop out of high range, my old m52 did that for 2 years before i replaced the transfer, i found that it was cheaper to put in a god takeout then rebuild it, i just installed a shift gate like what...

when i had my m52 ,it had dot 3 in it when i bought it, i never changed to dot 5, it worket just fine for me, just my 2cents

the sleave mite be to far down or not far enough, after installing the sleave did you check the deck hight

exhaust gases into the cooling ( maybe the head gasket didnt get set right) this is just a guess
