Has anyone burned a mixture of E85 and diesel in their deuce? Im not looking for more power just as a cheaper fuel source since I dont have a centrifuge to filter out wmo. E85 is a great tool to absorb water but my only concern is it eating at the fuel lines. Can a mixture be ran safely? Say...
So its finally starting. This Friday will mark the 1st official day that I have actually had time to start working on the deuce this spring. The list of to-do's keeps on growing and growing.
The first task on the list is to give her a fresh oil change and fuel filter change. Then the real fun...
Has anybody toyed with the idea of adding a front mount intercooler to their deuce? Something like you'd see on a turbo charged car. It would definitely help with heat-soak and power out put. Although is not really nessary, just an idea that popped into my head. :D
Can anybody steer me in the right direction for adjusting the throttle cable on an M35A2. Mine is idling at about 1000-1200 rpms. I searched in the TM's for a while and couldn't find anything. The fuel filters are newer (I haven't tried to drain them yet, to see if that fixes the problem) Here's...
Hey there,
So I've read other post on this issue and none seems to have the same issue that I am. I'll try to keep it kind of short. I recently put a new clutch on my deuce. The new pressure plate has 3 fingers instead of 4. Long story short, I got it all put back together and started the...
I was doing the research but I still couldn't find it. Does anybody know the weight of the flywheel on the M35A2? I need to pull mine off to get it resurfaced before I install the new clutch.
I was reading the TMs and there saying I need to pull the radiator off and a few other pieces to pull...
Hey,
So a couple of weeks ago my clutch went out on the truck. It didnt burn out, but rather the bolts holding the pressure plate onto the flywheel backed themselves out. Which caused the truck to work harder and burned out the clutch.
So I ordered a brand new kit from C & C equipment (thanks...
So I've had the truck for a couple of months now and I putting up photos as I work on it.
So far I've added a 90 degree bend for the mushroom.
Sanded and primed the fenders for painting.
Sanded all of the old paint off the wheels, they were all mismatched colors ----painted black
---Soon to...
Hey everyone,
So yesterday I was out cruising in the deuce for some 4th of July fun. Yesterday the weather where I'm located in Minnesota was about 98 degrees and the heat index was 108. I was hauling some water in the bed of the truck as well. (everything seems okay at this point) As i was...
Hello,
About 2 weeks ago I bought my 1st deuce and a half. Its a 1976 Kaiser M35A2. It has roughly 22000 miles and 435 hours (I don't know how exact it is, if the engine was rebuilt etc.) but we'll go from there....I've always been interested in these trucks, so I decided to buy one, for a...
