Sometimes folks don't know the difference between a shade tree a real mechanic. They go with the cheapest and not the quality one. Pay me now or pay me later. It doesn't cost but a dime more to go first class.
Folks like the Commander are few and far between.
Pump
I'm running a HMMV pump on one of my hunting trucks , been a while since I did this but going by memory I think I just swapped the tank and intake fitting out of the old pump.
X2 with PA, I have repaired many of these. The front input cover will wear usually because your pilot bushing is worn out. Also the expansion plug in the front of trans will leak, the vent in the trans can be defective and yes your trans can be overfilled.
I would check the transfer case level and see if it was over filled. The front seal in the transfer may be bad allowing the fluid from the transmission to enter the transfer. Check your air filter box to see if you have transmission oil in it. Also your cooler in your case may be leaking.
Remove your glow plugs and see if you have coolant coming out of any of them, If you do you probally have a cracked head or a blown head gasket. Also make sure you have the proper water pump. The ones for the serpentine system are reverse rotation.
