    Harbor Freight/Northern Tool welders???

Or look at it this way; do you feel comfortable using a high power electrical device with the capability to electrocute you that was made by the lowest of the lowest bidders?

    Military Fire Trucks

What we're looking at here Gentlemen, is an International Harvester M-5-6 that has been heavily modified into what looks like a brush truck or water tender. When in service, it looked more like this:

    Are they really worth it?

Well, let me put it another way for you: Back in 1986 when I first saw a HMMWV, I had to have one. Unfortunately back then, they weren't going to be available to civilians for quite a while yet, and I was just a poor boy with a part time job going to school anyhow, so it didn't matter. But...

Work on the baby HEMTT grinds to a start.

You two will be superstars if you show up with HEMTTs (baby or otherwise) at Camp Delta (Tower Park). I can't wait to see them both in person!

    hmmwv 998 hoods

The A2 hoods have the grille and headlight section in the front cut out. They're designed to go with the ECV setup that has the extended nose.

    Question for off-road experts

The desert racing crowd uses limiting straps to prevent the shocks from being the travel limiters. If enough force is applied, the shock can fail. Bad idea.

Hello from a northern california new guy

The Spring meet in April is the biggie. Largest MV gathering / swap meet in the West. But the Fall meet is a good place to get your feet wet. Come on out to any of our events and take a look. You don't even have to bring an MV.

Registering Deuce in CA - US Fed Cert Label

I recently discovered that I have a Fiat Ram 2500 4x4 pickup with a 5.9 Cummins TD, and I really like that truck. It tows MV projects like nobody's business! If the 4x4 Fiats are that good, the 6x6 units must be spectacular! rofl

Help! Is this bad? (Pic included)

The hole in your picture goes into the bellhousing where your clutch and flywheel lives. It's supposed to be open. You don't want oil in there... bad for business. The hole exists because if you were turning your deuce into a naval vessel (fording) you would want to plug that hole to avoid...

did a search, but couldnt find an answer

The 8 bolt HMMWV wheels are for the bias ply tires only, and the 12 bolt units are for radials. According to all the TMs, it is unsafe to run radials on the 8 bolt wheels. Hope that helps.

    Hmmwv fording and frame rust

Yes, this is a very common problem. The front of the frame rails are open, and when the humvee is run down the ramp off a ship into the sea, those open rails scoop up the water, and since the back of the rails are closed, it just pools up in the low spots and eats away the frame. I have heard...

    H1 wheels on M1028

The 8 stud wheel is for the bias ply tires, and the 12 stud wheel is for the radials. The 8 lug wheel pattern will bolt on the CUCV, but spacing is an entirely different issue. Hope that helps.
