    Newbie GL question about firearms

No. Federal property. CCW laws are state laws, federal gov't doesn't even to seem to want its own soldiers to have easy access on base. Don't try it.

    M1008 Prototype sold by GL

I noticed those wheels yesterday, but didn't think it was a prototype. Interesting.

Any way to tighten M1009 mirror?

Mine has always been loose. I completely disassembled it over the summer and retightened everything and it was better the next few times I drove it. It's not a daily driver. However, it loosened up again, but not as bad as before. I just lean foward a little and I can see fine. I asked a...

    Civil Lawsuit Regarding M109A3

Taurus, I fell your pain being a fellow resident of the Peoples Republic of Maryland. I can only wish you the best with your fight, I see how these HOA fights can spiral a big issue out of seemingly nothing. Fight for what you believe in..............always. -Whitey

    Events in or around NJ?

I recommend both the MTA show is Sussex, NJ and the Red Ball show in Gilbert, PA. Also, the show in Abredeen, MD in the spring is just down 95.

M1009 fuel consumpation, what is your MPG?

Good point! The last few generations of Pontiac Grand Prix's/Impala's/Buicks had issues with the top gear going out. If you're down to 2 gears in a heavy truck I would imagine that would really kill the mpg! -Whitey

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! From a CUCV owner who's looking to buy a M37 I really liked that one! -Whitey

M1009 fuel consumpation, what is your MPG?

17-20 mpg on mine. Depends on what kind of driving I'm doing. And coming back from the Aberdeen rally this summer I was pulling 65-75 most of the way on 95 and the Baltimore beltway and was getting roughly 19 mpg.

Question about M1009 relay repeat activation

Rhinob, The "clunk" is normal and I agree with Doghead. I've been more in the Baltimore are recently, but could stop by Urbana sometime and take a look as I'm in Frederick about once a week. My glowplug resistor is hooked up and the vehicle is stock except for the Doghead relay. However, my...

    Windshield wiper- Sprays fluid.

Kief, I had the exact same problem. Before the Aberdeen rally this spring I cleaned the terminal block mounted on the passenger side firewall in the engine bay and all the sudden my wipers had both fast and slow speeds and the sprayer no longer accompanied the wipers every move. I had...

    locking a deuce cab

Sounds plausible. Might try that on the nice shinny locks I replaced on my 1009. It hasn't really bothered me much, but I'd hate to give my position away to the enemy! -Whitey

    Gday from the land Downunder

Neat project. Looks like mostly surface rust, but I know pics can be deceiving. I notice the CTIS is intact and was wondering how common that is with a truck so old. Have fun with the rebuild!
