Maybe I need a new bed...

    That'll buff out.

Pics of Your Deuce Interior tricked out nicely

Interesting. May as well build a quad cab Deuce while you're at it! Should turn out pretty nicely.

    Deuce pickup

Interesting question. I may buy a Deuce soon. I finally got my issue of buying a newer daily driver out of the way, and picked up a 2001 Mustang GT 5 speed. I've always wanted a Mustang to compliment the Z28. Now they're garage buddies. Now if I just keep up my track of being impractical...

    Bitten by a drill.

OUCH. I think I would have cried.

    What paint is this?

I'm really liking the 34052. I spotted a Deuce for sale in person on Wednesday, took a few pictures, and I was surprised that I like the lighter green in person too. I believe it was a faded 383 camo paint job, don't know. That's what got me thinking about paint. I was also shocked by the...

    What paint is this?

There seems to be a lot of that going around. I thought I recognized one of them trucks from somewhere else. I only posted the link because the picture I was referring to appears to be an ebay picture, and might have been theirs at one point.

    What paint is this?

LOL! Recovery, do you have any other pictures of that truck? I think you might have hit the nail on the head.

    What paint is this?

I was thinking it had some black mixed in there too. My guess was either the as mentioned forest green 34079, or O.D. 34087, possibly mixed with a bit of black. Or, maybe it was a cloudy day and made it look real dark. I don't know, it confuses me, but it sure is some of the best looking paint...

    What paint is this?

I was just curious too see if anyone would recognize the paint on the Deuce on 53's, and knew the code. I was browsing Google, came across it, and thought it looked really good. Here's the link for the site I found it on also. MilitaryTrux Home Page ^ Not advertising, just want to cite my...

My camo job... a slight departure

That looks surprisingly good. It's really nice to see someone trying something new, kind of making me like the whole Deuce hot rodding thing.

serious discussion of 5-ton speed increase via gearing (transmission, differential)

I was disappointed. Apparently they moved it, or started work early. I might head up there again and see if I can get a picture of it.

    Extreme Trucking

That Deuce looks like it's loaded down! I wonder if you can move with them things. Think they'd fit a bed, a couch, a couple small tables, a couple small TV's, and a few dozen small plastic tubs that measure around 20" x 20" by 25"? This might be even more of an excuse to buy a Deuce! We may...

serious discussion of 5-ton speed increase via gearing (transmission, differential)

"Speed doesn't kill! Suddenly becoming stationary - thats the killer." -Jeremy Clarkson With that said, I'm into drag racing and autocross. I like going a bit faster than 50 sometimes. However, your point is very valid. Unless the trans is upgraded, the brakes are upgraded, IF the axles can...

Finally got my Deuce out of GL

I was kind of hoping for pictures too. It's always nice to look at a Deuce.

Im considering this, but if i do, will i be ridiculed and ostracized from rallys :^)

You're not keeping the truck 100% original, but think about it, you're helping to PRESERVE original parts, so that you can actually use it for what it was inteded for, while not tearing up a classic vehicle. If any purist has a problem with that, they shouldn't be involved in the hobby. Now, I...

    Lets See Your 5-Ton!

Cessnatwin sure does have some very nice rigs. I had to ask him which color one of his 5 tons were a few days ago, just because it looked so good. 8)

Reached a Milestone with the Deuce

Congratulations on the milestone! I really can't wait to be able to go out and buy a Deuce, but, priorities first. I need a newer, lower mileage daily driver. 99K on an older Camaro with no A/C won't cut it.

    M35A2 un-insurable

This is why I'll never drink, smoke any Mary, use any kind of illegal or prescription drugs (Even pain killers, I'll deal with pain) or talk on a cell phone while driving. Once the system gets a hold of you, it's tough. Good luck with getting insured. It'd be ashame to see you have to sell...

    M36c gone today

That's pretty neat that you have a couple others laying around. Pretty ridiculous that they didn't allow you to get it on the road.
