Yes take the inspection plate off and look, mine did that it just pulled freely, a rod simply came undone, a clip or pin came out of the end.

I hope it isn't your rear end? Mine did that once while plowing snow (Briefly locked) then i got half way home and a gear busted threw my pumpkin! Check for metal in the gear lube 4sure, I hope it's a brake.

Police need to have "probable cause" to stop you, like no seat belt, fail to signal, thats my understanding. My M1008 had red dyed fuel in it when I bought it, I got rid of the fuel right away, it's not worth it.

My bud was driving a pickup, he was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt, then they dipped his tank, saw a tint of red in it, thats how it started.

I think he called it a fuel tax penalty.

Update, my friend got 2 fines one from the Feds, one from the state both around a $1000.00, plus an Audit, that was a real pain days of paperwork.

Thanks, Those bad glow plugs can be a pain to get out. You have to pry them straight, best to get the puller tool thats made for the job. I'm going to run the 2 wires off the controller to a toggle switch in the cab, then I don't have to worry about the controller going bad and swelling the ends...

The original motor in the truck had a broke off glow plug when i purchased it, and it broke free from the piston, where it was fused, and cracked the block a few hours after getting it going. The new motor has 8,000 miles, but needed TLC. New front crank and rear seal, intake, valve cover...

Ya maybe your right, about brazing it, it is thin stuff, i do braze or weld hydraulic fittings often with no prob but they are much heavier and easier. I just hate paying high prices for little things like that, although $57 for both hoses is way less than I payed from GM.

Cut the end off and braze it on a fitting I can crimp.

I replaced the thermostat in my dads Mack this fall, it worked 2 days and then stuck shut, Mack gave us a new one and said it happens ever since they started getting them from China! Don't think just cause u get a new part that it's good unfortunately.

When I replaced mine Carquest couldn't order it, they sent me to the Chevy dealer, they ordered it & it cost big bucks, I can make a 1 inch 4 wire hydraulic hose on my gates crimper, for what they charged me for those puney cooler hoses. Next time i'll replace with a solid hydraulic hose.
