    An American Deuce in Canada

Sounds like oil contaimation. I had the same problem so I did the FDC bypass and attached a long hose to the slobber tube. Try and spray a can o brake clean in the bell housing followed by dawn detergent and water then followed by lots of clean rinse water.

Behr Paint Jobs- Show me your MV's

I did my M35 with behr paint 2 years ago and after 2 years of temp ranges of 90 degree heat to 45 below cold the paint is holding up and looks like I painted it yesturday. So that said I highly recommend Behr paint.

    Block Heater Install

I just finished getting a 1000watt block heater installed in my deuce. Apparently you have to give the element a slight bend to fit properly so it doesn't make contact with the block. The gurgling noise is nothing to worry about. I bet it is the same noise you hear when you plug you kettle in...

    An American Deuce in Canada

Well I fired up the deuce last week (-25) and went out in the fields to try to eliminate some of those pesky coyotes. I was surprised that the heater worked quite well. However I will definitely will have to replace all the cab seals this spring.

there is an outfit in Arizona, Tucson, I think that has some nice Goodyear's on rims for a pretty good price. I forget their name, but they do advertise on here. I'm sure one of the fellows on here will know which one I'm talking about.

Military Vehicle Show & Campout Sept.6,7,8,9 at Fort Worden Washington

Biggest tires on an M1028 with stock height

I am in the market for tires also, can anyone help me with what would fit my Deuce without any rubbing or modifications? I am assuming that power loss would be minimal. I have 1200.20 XML's on right now, mounted on Canadian super single rims, but they pretty much have had the biscuit. On...

I'm kinda in the same boat here, I have a good tarp, but the bows and troop seats are rotten. does anyone have the measurements for the lengths of wood needed for the bows? The seats are easy to figure out, but the wood on the bows are all different lengths as in no bow is the same size. It's on...

What to look for in a deuce?

I too am new to the Deuce. I recently purchased a 1974 and drove it home 800 miles. I am having some minor issues with it, mainly the FDC. It seems to be bypassing fuel into the crankcase and in turn, out the tube on the right side of the engine causing a "self undercoating" issue. I am not a...

got the deuce home and found the oil leak

After just completing an 850 mile trip home with my recent purchase, I too noticed oil all over the right side of the engine, right wheel well, battery box, and the whole undercarriage. Half way home I checked the oil level and found that the level indicated on the dip stick showed about 3...
